Stuff stuffs and stuffingsness... Ish? + Bonus picspam
Why yes this is a Caitybabble post. Why ever do you ask?
1. My whole freaking house smells like bacon due to these little appetizer things I'm making for an office potluck tomorrow. I know those of you who know me best are going "But she can't cook... since when does she cook?" And the answer apparently is now. *beams* Here's the recipe for those of you who like such things:
2. I have decided on which FakeTV will become my NaNoWriMo concept (with yall's help of course). And the winner is Taking Eden! http://hiddencait.livejournal.com/10191.html Post Apocalypse in the Texas Hill County (where I'm from and love best!) and religious fanatics with a cast of flat out awesomeness. So there. Still up in the air about how to do the story telling though - should I stick in a single POV (1st or 3rd?) or doing several running story lines ala Game of Thrones? I don't knows!
Also on the NaNoWriMo topic - I have uploaded FAR too many icons. They make me happy. *beams*
3. I heart getting mail. I really really do. You know who you are, and they're pretty and awesome and make me smile. Though, dude, I think you tossed in even one more than you told me! What is it???
4. Trick or Treat is in process. I got lots of people coming to my door which is awesome, but it also means that I've got a lot to do lol. I'm doing them as I have a burst of thought for the person, so they'll be done in a completely crazy order probably. Oh! 5. Soooooo trust me to get hooked on a fandom AFTER IT'S ALREADY FREAKING CANCELLED. *headdesk* But I've done it again. I just discovered "The Cape" on netflix and oh good lord I'm way too attached to this show and totally bummed that it's only 10 episodes. Hell, I'm braving NETFLIX to watch. Yeah, that place that I seriously loathe right about now. Tis sad I tell you.
Basically it's like an old fashioned comic book made into a TV show. It's so awesomely over the top I can hardly believe it. Lots of angst of course, though I'm sad to say the main source of angst is the one part of the show that seems to lose me. They keep his family alive, which is a switch for this kind of plot, but unfortunately, I so totally can't connect to his wife or his kid. Is it bad that I wish she'd hook up with her friend so Vince can hook up with Orwell free of guilt? Le sigh.
Anyway, here - I offer excuses for my minor obsession:
Vince - main character and seriously sexy
What not sexy enough you say? Here - this is a screencap from the pilot episode. And I swear his body only gets BETTER! *raises eyebrow* What? You hadn't realized by now that I'm a shallow shallow creature? Sad but true.
*gets distracted for a minute trying to count his abs*
OK I'm back now. So, other bonuses for the show!
Orwell - hot, rich, tech genius. And played by Summer Glau - speaking of shows I got addicted to after the cancellation... *moment of silence for Firefly*
And EXTRA bonus:
Max - Leader of the Carnival of Crime and sometimes Vince's mentor - as played by Keith David who was Imam in Pitch Black/CoR! I totally was giggling like I fiend when I realized who he was.
So yeah, that's pretty much it. I'll be buying the boxset I think. Why the hell not right? Plus there's always the chance for bonus deleted scenes with Vince all shirtless. Or more shirtless. I swear we get a pec/ab shot AT LEAST every other episode. Seriously a fan of the writers for that one.
*shrugs* I think I have run out of babble for the moment. My bacon wrap thingies STILL are not done. *headdesk*

Ingredients:
Club Crackers (uses the real ones- this size works best)Thin Sliced Bacon
Grated Parmesan Cheese
(You can also use brown sugar instead of parmesan cheese….I’ve never tried it but heard it is very good)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Lay crackers face up (as many as you want) on cookie sheet.
Scoop about 1 tsp. of grated parmesan cheese on to each cracker.
Cut your package of bacon in half and carefully (so cheese does not fall off), wrap each cracker with a slice of bacon, completely covering the cracker (it should fit snugly around the cracker).
Place the bacon-wrapped crackers on to a baking sheet that has a rack on it.
Place in 250 degree oven for about 2 hours. (In my oven, it was better at closer to 1 hour 45 minutes)
