Saw the MI5 trailer... and I'm not happy...

So yay for Renner being in MI5 cuz lord knows he was one of my faves. But WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH JANE BEING MIA????

OK not that I'm terribly surprised, but seriously. We finally got a badass chick who wasn't a love interest for Tom Cruise and who totally had a fun tomboy vibe with the rest of the team, even when she was dolled up, she still kicked ass, AND NOW THE TRAILER LOOKS LIKE SHE'S DEAD.

And better yet, it looks like she's dying for Ethan Hunt's character development... as if we haven't had to watch that what... twice already IN THE SAME DAMN FRANCHISE.

Blah, apparently this makes me angrier than I thought. But dude. Just way more disappointed by this trailer than I expected to be.

It was sad logistics. They asked Paula Patton and the MI3 girl back, but there were scheduling conflicts and both declined.

I read that before I saw the trailer, which helped.

Oh BTW, I was wondering if you'd be up for betaing a sci-fi original story? It's right at 6k, and I have to get it in by Friday for an anthology deadline. I had another friend who said she'd beta, but all she responded with was "I love it - just copy edit and send" which I am not so sure about. I also have no clue on a title whatsoever.

If you don't have time, I totally understand. I just thought I'd check since you've had some awesome fic feedback for me. *hugs*

Yeah we'll see. I just know she's not in this one. Hopefully they'll leave her chara alive in the background for possible sequels. I mean we know Renner's signed for like 3-4, so there will be more movies.
