Alphabet Drabble Request Meme!

morrigans_eve So here's how we're going to play this: I write out the alphabet below. You give me a word for an unclaimed letter, a fandom and characters. I write either a single (100 words) or a double (200 words) drabble. Rejoicing happens.

The day Shalimar goes quietly mad, Brennan finds her in a cardboard box in an alley trying to keep dry in the steady rain. She hisses at him when he leans down peers in to look, and he almost retreats back in shock. But regardless of her frame of mind, she’s still his.
Or more accurately, he’s still hers. He sinks down to his knees and eases in slowly, allowing her to get used to his scent, to recognize him as her mate. It doesn’t take her long and then she’s all but burrowing into his lap. She purrs.

She doesn’t know when it started, this little ritual of theirs, but Emma’s glad it did. They curl up together in Jesse’s room on the loveseat that’s really too small for the both of them. Still, it’s perfect for these days when a mission goes wrong and they each need something to soothe away the regrets.
They’ll put in some old movie they’ve both seen hundreds of times and then just pretend to watch. In reality, they’re watching each other, counting the moments until their heartbeats slow down from the frantic day. Until their hearts begin to heal again.

Ooo great prompt! Totally pulled a double drabble out!
He wasn’t one of them, he reminded himself daily. Wasn’t some young in-over-his-head student. Wasn’t young in any respect, and hadn’t been in over a century. That difference in years was only part of the gulf between he and the others though.
The rest was harder to explain for anyone who’d never been immortal, who’d never seen men who were nearly brothers transformed into monsters. He’d killed his brother.
John didn’t need another family and didn’t want another brother, no matter how Jim might push to become just that.
And lost gods help him, he didn’t want another woman in his life, sibling or otherwise.
But there she was, all dark eyed and grace personified, and somehow she’d started drawing him in, like gravity despite even his formidable strength.
For such an observant woman, she seemed utterly unaware of her affect on him, so focused as she was on her hybrid lover. She didn’t intend to make John fall, and somehow that made it all the more inevitable that he would.
When he finally succumbed, it was from a distance and no one but Uhura’s green-skinned companion ever seemed to guess. He told himself it was better that way.

Okay, randomly, ages back, someone recced a Claire/Wesker fic (RE, obv) and it was TERRIBLE, but it made me really ship this pairing, only there is ZERO GOOD FIC for them, so...I know it's a crazy pairing, but if you could write like, one line, it would already trump all of fandom...

(And Az/Cain never quite worked for me, but I did heart Carolyn/Riddick. I think I've actually seen one or two of those played out well. Though damned if I can remember where I read them last...)

She was intriguing, so strong and so devoted to the group of riffraff she’d picked up out in the desert. He’d read her file, as all the major players among the survivors had a file. He’d also watched every scrap of surveillance his satellites could supply, as well as the moments from one of the Arcadia round ups where she’d fought so hard to protect her charges until the drugs took hold.
And then she’d escaped. Drugged and panicked, and still escaped. One woman. A mere human being.
She intrigued him, and that was reason enough to claim her.

(Being a masochist, I recently rewatched PB and wanted to cry and scream so badly at the ending, even though I KNEW IT WAS COMING, BUT WHYYY, OH, THE HEARTBREAK. I had the audio commentary on to distract me and the writers were totally intended all the sexual/romantic subtext, which makes me even madder that they went there and then KILLED HER)
