Oh man curtain fics can be the best thing. I love slice of life, simply domestic moments. You can learn so much about characters with these moments I think. I love to read them, though I don't write them all that often.

They're soothing to read too - I can only read so much in the way of angst before I need to cleanse my pallet so to speak.

Really just love domestic fics like none other. *snuggles them*

Ahaha you picked 2 that I don't think I've ever written!

...OK well correction - considering the novel trilogy and associated mini stories that are all dealing with angelic lore, it's entirely possible I've written over 100k of wingfic type stuff lol. But I've never tackled the trope in fic. I like reading it from time to time, but a lot of times it comes out so campy that I'm clicking to the next fic quick like.

As far as circus!AUs, I really love the idea, I just don't know that I'd ever be able to pull it off. I got a freaking GORGEOUS Clint/Coulson circus AU for the MCUAU exchange this year - like 14k worth of Clint being amazing and covered in glitter plus a bonus 4k coda fic. Seriously so SO spoiled! There's also a depression era-Carnivale type AU floating around that I loved but never ended up finished. Mostly I think I like the idea of this kind of AU more than anything?
