So my Writing List for the year (OK really just until May for several of these, but a couple are yearly goals too) has gotten a little nuts, so I thought I would write it down here so I can see it vanish as I mark things off. Plus some of you can help me being all accountable and stuff!

-shipswap Assignment - Actually done!!! Just need to get it back from my beta and upload it to AO3.
-shipswap Pinch Hit - Started
-wipbigbang - 1300 of 7500 needed
-couplesbigbang - 705 of 10,000 needed - possibly dropping if I can figure out something re: question below. Making the executive decision for my sanity to drop - plus it looks like if I can't find an alternate BigBang, I'll be co-running one!
-Short Story submission for Steam SEA anthology - due June 1st - 2500-9000
-1st Round edits on Psychic Soldier Story - done through page 98 - waiting to re-up Grammarly Subscription with next paycheck
-Sleeping Beauty Redux - 19k - will probably be close to 100k by the end? Maybe longer (Planned to be finished by end of year)
-Start Angel Story Sequel - if Sleeping Beauty Redux done by end of the year

Also just as I wanted to keep track here - for my getyourwordsout pledge for the year of 150,000, I have so far written 11,417. So yeah, I'm WAY behind, but I'm kicking my butt into gear, so hopefully that number will be growing signficantly over the next few weeks!


...In other news on a completely unrelated (or OK so somewhat related) subject - does anyone know if there is a Black Jewels AU BigBang anywhere? Preferably for later in the year? I ask because my CouplesBigBang plot is a Femme!Bilbo-centric Hobbit Black Jewels AU. The story has me totally excited, but it's definitely becoming less couply the longer I plot it out. Yes, there will be romance, but that's not so much the focus. Not only that, but it's feeling a heckuva lot longer than the 10k necessary, and even 10k was looking dicy with the current deadline. I could cut the overall story arc into 2 books I think, but the first book will have next to no couply moments at all. So it's feeling less appropriate for the BigBang I've signed up for.

So yeah, a Black Jewels AU Big Bang would really be perfect for it - I just have no idea if there are any out there. I'd say I'd start one, but I've never modded for anything like that, and honestly I just wouldn't know how to even begin doing so. So yeah - anyone got any ideas or input for me?

Hey guys - just wanted to give those of you who are into small fandoms/pairings and fic exchanges that shipswap is accepting nominations. I was brave and decided to attempt to nominate this year.

I nom'd both Doom John/Sam and Crossovers River Tam/Richard B. Riddick. And both have now been accepted.

With those approved, I can pretty much guarantee I'm going to enjoy this one this year - so I thought I'd give the heads up to my other darlings to maybe play too!

I know it's pretty restrictive as far as "small" pairings go - but I can think of several of you with bittie fandom loves! lol

First of all, thank you THANK YOU for signing up and agreeing to write a prize for me. I only recently got into fic/art exchanges, but I am flat loving them. It's such a fun way to meet new writers and artists, and plus the greedy side of me loves getting goodies almost as much as the gifty side of me likes giving them out. *grin*
