You are amazing. I want to tell you that up front, because you are.

Please don’t stress about this assignment. Just the fact that you are writing for any of these fandoms in the first place will make me ridiculously happy. Also, I love gifts in general, so I’ll be chuffed to get a prize of any of my requested fandoms and characters! I know this letter is ridiculously long as it’s the most fandoms I think I’ve ever signed up for for Yuletide – I think my reading muse’s ADHD is hitting HARD y’all LOLSOB. But again I love these fandoms and tend to babble about prompts and such, but don’t let that scare you off. And yes, some have more prompts than others, but that really does not mean anything preference wise – I would NOT have requested these fandoms if I didn’t want them. But honestly, I just wanted to give you as much detail as possible to hopefully help get your inspiration flowing! Seriously: A. Maze. Ing.

The only thing I do ask is that my DNW list be avoided.

DNW: Infertility/miscarriage, prostitution, noncon, dubcon, requested character/pairing death, infidelity, love triangles/jealousy focus (I am far more fond of OT3ing it up), Hanahaki, characters de-aged/aged back up during the story, A/B/O, gangster/mob, noir settings, Modern AUs that remove canon SFF or historical elements, amnesia, loss of limb/amputations, mpreg, underage/adult, gender swap, teacher/student, drug abuse/alcoholism, or incest. Optional Re Yuletide Challenges: I am always a fan of the Yuletide mini challenges, and would definitely be thrilled in particular to get gifts that fit the following ones: Two for One, Yuleporn, Femslash Festivus, and Queering the Tide! Specific requests/details for any of those 4 challenges can be found on those journal entries!

Optional Re Crossovers: I also wanted to specifically mention that crossovers between any of my requested fandoms would be awesome if that’s your thing just so long as the fic is still focused on my requested characters/pairings. I know some of these are VERY different, but others I think could definitely lend themselves to some interesting combinations if that inspires you! If not, I’m also a fan of book verses getting crossed over with other series/stories by the same author!

Northmen: A Viking Saga

Asbjorn, Inghean

Tom Hopper pulled me into this teeny tiny fandom after Black Sails moved him onto my fandom boyfriend list. I gotta admit, it’s such a terrible movie objectively, but it totally appeals to my love of questionable action movies. We get all the Tom Hopper biceps you might hope for in his character (and the lead) Asbjorn, though sadly he never takes the shirt completely off. As the leader of the exiled and shipwrecked Vikings, he’s awesomely competent and has mad chemistry with the female lead (the only one in the entire film sadly), Inghean. She is a Scottish princess the Vikings kidnap in hopes of ransom only to discover her father prefers to see her dead than pay for her safe return. She also is the source of the one fantasy element in the film: an earth sense that warns her when the group is in danger. All in all, I just desperately want a post-movie fic with these two. The movie ended so very abruptly, and there was so much more of the story hanging. How do they all survive the long boat? Do they ever find safety? Is it at the Viking encampment they hoped to find? Does Inghean’s earth sense end up more under control or cause people to see her as a witch? Will Inghean and Asbjorn EVER do more than stare at each other longingly?

Albert Hawke, Takanashi Sei

This sweet little monster-filled anime was recommended in a blog from Ilona Andrews randomly enough – one featuring “comfort” animes to watch given The Everything. And this really was SUCH a comfort of a story. There are of course given it’s an isekai monsters to fight and chauvinistic elements to the world building (the prince is an ASS and arranged marriages are very much a thing and not always a great one) which is sort of a fantasy Regency vibe – but still all told - my jam LOL. Sei was a delight of a main character, and I loved that it got close to that typical “every handsome man in the vicinity falls desperately in love with her” shojo trope but JUST sidestepped it enough that it’s “every handsome man in the vicinity absolutely ships her and her love interest, Captain Hawke and does their best to get him to just MAKE A MOVE ALREADY.” I will say the slow pace of the anime got a bit overdone at times (2 seasons and a marriage proposal and they NEVER KISSED ON SCREEN), so I would not be opposed to romantic letters getting spicy between them on the road to marriage! Also, I loved all of Sei’s research and experimentation in everything from cooking to healing to monster-slaying, so books or articles from her featuring her academic mind would be a delight, as well. Really I just want these two sweetly shy, ridiculously brave kiddos to get to be romantic with each other.

The Borden Dispatches – Cherie Priest

Lizzie Borden, Emma Borden, Nance O’Neill

This is one of those fandoms that I’m honestly SHOCKED doesn’t have any fics for. It’s based on an infamous historical murder AND the Innsmouth story ala Lovecraft. Oh and THEN, it’s written completely in epistolary/found document style with letters, diary entries, snippets of the doctor’s findings, reports of an investigation… It’s so PERFECT for fandom y’all. Oh yeah, and it features women fighting monsters and chronic illness and a chronically ill woman masquerading as a male academic on paper and a self-taught scientist with an ax and a sapphic sunshine grump couple between Lizzie and her actress girlfriend, and and and. I just loved this concept so so much, and the first book did not disappoint! I would like any gift to be set around the Ravenscroft timeline as opposed to the second book Chapelwood as sadly the massive decades long time skip lost so much of the characters and location I loved so much from the first book! Prompt-wise, you honestly can go wild as long as it’s featuring these ladies, especially if you can manage some of the style of the book! Between their complicated relationships and the crazy circumstances, there really is SO MUCH potential! (Plus, LBR, any opportunity to see more fics based off Lovecraft’s works that would REALLY piss that bigot off posthumously just makes me smile on principle lolol)

An Inquiry into Love and Death – Simone St. James

Jillian Leigh, Drew Merriken, Toby Leigh

A friend dragged me kicking and screaming (occasionally literally thanks to the creepy factor lol) into this author’s ghost story romances, but I have loved every one of them so far and am super sad that I’m literally the only person who has written for any of the books (and only a single one in a previous Yuletide no less LOL). INQUIRY is the book I’ve read most recently for the series (and the only one already with an archive listing), so I figured I’d go ahead and request it separately. For Drew and Jillian, I would love a glimpse into how their courtship goes after she returns to University. This is a fandom where I think epistolary stories/romance would be especially fun, though I also wouldn’t mind seeing a few ghostly letters show up from her Father/Uncle as if he was able to follow her home and finally manage to almost be family from the other side as he never was capable of in life. But regardless, Drew and Jillian are a delight on their own! As far as books or journals, glimpses of the book Toby might have written or even a coauthored book by Toby and Jillian for a posthumous release could be really cool to play with. As with several of my requests, I’m game for crossovers with the characters/pairings from the other books in this “series” from the author - especially something like a “Ladies Paranormalist Society” or something featuring all the ladies meeting up with Jillian and discussing their respective hauntings lol

North and South – Elizabeth Gaskell

Margaret Hale, John Thornton

Oh my HEART. In some ways, this book/mini series blows Jane Austen out of the water for me. Darcy who? John Thornton (as permanently played in my head by Richard Armitage after the BBC miniseries of course) is easily my favorite Regency hero of all times: brooding, honest, and desperately in love with Margaret. I did fall into this fandom through the mini-series first, but I’ve since read the book and love it just as much, so feel free to stick with just the book canon or weave in mini-series details as you wish (train station scene anyone?). Prompts: 1) This fandom in particular I’d LOVE epistolary fic for: letters between the two as they fall in love, awkward letters to family members to announce their relationship, even gossip articles about the relationship in the society pages – I’d love absolutely anything in that vein for these two! Heck get crossover-y with it and give me Lady Whistledown’s perspective on their romance! 2) Post-book/miniseries stories – give me their engagement or wedding or how the first year of their married life goes with or without the interference of their various family members and the cotton industry, etc. 3) Smut – these two have such glorious smoldering heat between them – feel free to bring it out on the page! Other than those options, run wild. I know it looks like I don’t have quite as much to say here as I do about some of the other requested fandoms, but honestly, it’s because my brain just dissolves into swooning when I think about John/Margaret and I lose any ability to articulate the things I love about them LOL. This is a fandom that I’d be especially game for crossovers or mentions of other characters from Jane Austen stories (Pride & Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Sanditon are my faves tho I’ve only seen S1. Bridgerton would also be a fun crossover!).

Rolling in the Deep Series – Mira Grant (including both Prequel novella ROLLING IN THE DEEP and sequel novel INTO THE DROWNING DEEP)

Victoria “Tori” Stewart, Olivia Sanderson

Y’all Seanan McGuire (and her horror pen name Mira Grant) has claimed my all-time fave author title, and these books are the perfect example of why. Queer main characters. Well researched science. Mixed media/interestingly formatted storytelling. And oh yeah. Deep. Sea. Murder. Mermaids. DEEP SEA MURDER MERMAIDS. Run amok here seriously, I’m game for anything including crossovers especially though I have NO IDEA how you’ll pull it off with some of the other fandoms I’ve requested LOL. I’m also a fan of worldbuilding/mixed media, too if that’s your thing. Prompt wise: 1) Pacific Rim AU with Tori/Olivia as pilots against the massive monstrous females of the species who’ve finally figured out how to survive out of the deepest depths long enough to reach shore to hunt? 2) Ray & Olivia’s bromance was one of my fave relationships here and I’d love to see him survive and TOTALLY ship Olivia/Tori– fixit fic for the win! 3) Anything playing with the mixed media format from the books: transcripts from the survivors of the Melucine, Tori & Louis’s scientific presentation of their findings, emails between Oliva and/or Ray and Imagine? 4) The other/previous “mockumentaries” Imagine did – were they all actually fake or did the people on site cover something up? Were Olivia and Ray (and possibly Anne?) involved in tracking down Bigfoot or a chupacabra? Is Tori dragged along in their wake for the next mockumentary after the Melucine? Aside from that, I’m always a fan of stories that crossover various fandoms by the same author, so I’d totally be game with a related Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant verse character or setting colliding with this one (though note: I have NOT read the Newsflesh or Parisitology series yet).

... Not me FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER realizing I can go look at my old sign ups from previous years to figure out what I may or may not want to nominate for Yuletide. It really is one of my top exchanges ever - or at least the one I've been in the most consistently since, oh, 2013 it looks like? No wonder it felt weird not signing up last year LOLSOB.

But seriously, looking back over my old sign ups was such a trip. Moods ranging from "ohhhh I need to reread/rewatch that!" to "remember when Black Sails qualified but now it's got 6k fics lmao" to "there's no way that still qualifies... it only has 500 fics total? ... I guess I've just read them all. Oops"

Also, looking at numbers, I apparently never wanted to nominate a fandom that technically has a web comic, light novel, and now cartoon before. How did y'all ever figure out if those were eligible or not when they don't get consistently tagged together?? All this to say, sadly Solo Leveling probably is NOT eligible. I think? Ish? If one of you darlings would like to sort out the math for me to prove me wrong, I would love you forever LOL. If not, oh well, I'll get my Baek Yoon-ho requests in via other exchanges.

I really REALLY love crossovers for Jane Austen stories. Especially for the rare pairs and side characters above. Something about Colonel Brandon and Colonel Fitzwilliam just appeals to me on both fronts, and the quiet sisters of both canons, Jane, and Elinor, seem to me to have deserved better than the fates they were given by the text, as does the other “less” desirable miss, Charlotte Lucas. So, if the canon doesn’t supply a proper pairing – find another canon! Seriously, here I’m just all about mutual respect and “hearth like” loves instead of “raging fire” passions and competency kinks abounding! I don’t have a lot of specific prompts for these requests, but if you like the style, I would particularly love me an epistolary love story or even society/gossip pages about how the couples fall in love ala Bridgerton’s Lady Whistledown for an added crossover detail LOL!

Richard B. Riddick (Chronicles of Riddick Series)/River Tam (Firefly)
Oof, this is legit a mashup of two of my fave SF fandoms. Pitch Black is a STUNNING movie fight me! And honestly I even like Chronicles and Riddick (though the latter almost felt a little too much like Pitch Black – I really would have liked to see Furya. Oh well). And Firefly (and Serenity) had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, though yes in retrospect, it had a fair number of Whedon-esque issues (oof the sex work slurs left and right). Still, both are some of my happy places, and putting them together, and in particular these two characters together? So much yes please! I don’t know how to articulate what it is that is so fantastic about these two, but man, it just WORKS for me. I do want River to be of adult age, just FYI, but beyond that, feel free to run wild! Does Riddick escape the Necros and end up getting a ride aboard Serenity? Does River somehow end up crash-landed with the others aboard the Hunter-Gratzner? Are we pre or post Big Damn Movie? Honestly, any of these will make me thrilled. Seriously! BTW, this one is my one exception to my DNW of no sexual blood play, but only when it comes to biting/marking. I still am not game for blades against skin or any kind of dubcon/non-con; I just appreciate Riddick being a bit possessive with his River!

This show overall is such a blast, and I always enjoy the hell out of most of the ensemble cast, but my fave character – bonus played by one of my fave SG1 actors - only appeared on screen in 3 episodes before dying. WHAT. A. WASTE. There’s just so much that’s so damned tragic about Victor – in a single day he goes from what we can only assume is a skilled and successful spy with a loving family at the top of his game to losing that family in an explosion, being burned and blamed for it, and recruited by Karla, only to years later figure out Karla (and the entire organization) actually caused all of the destruction of his life. Is it any surprise it broke him? I mean really? Not to say he’s not a murderous bastard – ‘broken’ has definitely turned him into a murder happy Mad Hatter type of man who is unpredictable as hell in a delightfully attractive way (along with him being charming and ridiculously physically attractive). But there was clearly a good man in there for him to have been so dedicated to his job and family originally. He's like a shattered mirror of what Michael might have been had his own burn notice taken casualties with him. So, what do I want for this request? Just save Victor – keep him alive, of course, but also let Michael and the team start saving him little by little with the good they do despite some of the terrible ways they often get the good things accomplished. Throwing another wild card into the mix (as lord knows Fi already plays that role) could be SUCH fun. Oddly, I don’t actually ship Victor with anyone canon on the show or alternately, I’d have to ship him with EVERYONE indiscriminately, I think if that makes sense? So if you do want to write something shippy for him, I’d think I’d prefer either his canon wife or an OC lady – whether it's discovering his wife and child didn’t die after all but thought he died instead, or a client for Michael’s team keeps catching Victor’s attention though DAMN if he can figure out why, or he’s stuck playing babysitter to a client needing a close bodyguard until the job is finished and Victor’s pissed he’s missing all the fun (read violence) until things go very wrong and he gets to get very violent indeed. Hell, go full tropey with it and set them in the apocalypse or have Victor up and find a soul mark and that poor woman have NO IDEA what they’re in for when it comes to his entire luggage train worth of emotional baggage LOL. Anyone who knew me when I started reading manga wayyyyyyyyyyy back when would recognize this one as SO my type. I had flashbacks to Fushigi Yuugi and Ceres Celestial Legend and SO MANY of the older Shojo Beat specials of my college days. I somehow missed the manga version of Yona appearing back then, but MAN am I thrilled I stumbled on the anime on Crunchie. And yes, yes Hak does, in fact, have my fave voice actor. Yes, I apparently have a shojo anime hero type rather similar to my shonen anime hero type. Whoops? Anyway, I do love this show and this pairing in particular, especially on the side of Hak and his absolute devotion to Yona, up to the point that he’d convinced himself he was perfectly happy to protect her AND her supposed future husband while never acting on his own feelings. I just, I can’t even with that type of dynamic, especially with the slight edge of “gah she annoys me so much wait where is she I cannot lose sight of her for an instant or my world collapses ok now I need to hold her and it definitely is still annoying I swear” vibe he’s got going on. Again I’ve only seen S1 of the anime, so I don’t know what’s to come, but anything on their journey in that season from canon AUs to missing scenes will make me super thrilled.

Black Clover - Tabata Yuki (Anime & Manga)

I recently marathoned this anime with my husbeast and MAN I enjoyed the hell out of this character. Part of it admittedly was the English voice actor, who was a delight, but part of it was just Yami in all his ridiculous contradictions. Harsh with his team but also secretly a damn teddy bear with a heart for the underdog; crude as hell but as a Captain probably considered the next thing to nobility. Considered a foreigner, but so expert with the magic and culture that he can mentor Asta. Just, yeah, I was super sucked into this character and want all the fic with him! Prompts: 1) Yami and his pet beasts. I’m a sucker for a big gruff guy adopting baby animals (even if he was forced to defeat their mother), ESPECIALLY when they turn out to be big and fierce but super loving to their adopter. Just all the cuddly and/or battle moments with Yami and his pets. 2) Shippy! I am not into M/M lately but I would love to see Yami either with an OC lady or with Captain Charlotte Roselei. I don’t have specific prompts for this but feel free to run wild as long as Yami gets his love life on (and yes smut is DEFINITELY welcome LOL). 3) Isekai/Portal fantasy AU Yami! I have only seen the anime of this and was hugely intrigued by the fact that (at least prior to the current season being aired) they basically only mention Yami’s past as him washing up on the shore as a “foreigner,” wielding the only Japanese style sword in the show, and then being chosen by a grimoire with pretty damned rare magic. He just SCREAMS isekai hero to me, and I’d love a look at his story from that perspective. I’d also love to see this prompt and the shippy OC prompt combined – is another person transported to the Clover kingdom from our world? How does he recognize her as such? Is she someone he knew there? Again, just lots of fun potential! 4) Finally, I’m all about the gen found family/adopted BDE (Big Dad Energy… tho uh the other BDE version also applies LOL) vibe Yami gives off with his team. Anything domestic and family like would be great.

Finally, I think I can best sum up my feelings regarding this fandom and this side character when I say that every time I mention any of it to my friends, I inevitably start with either “so this asshole…” or “so I was watching for the plot when…” Yeah, of the 3 characters this voice actor portrays, this is the one that was probably the most bulletproof guaranteed to make me obsessed, and that’s even aside from the amount of fan service that proves the art director was THIRSTY for this character given how many more shirtless moments he has compared to literally ANY other character lol, which I respect them for. But seriously, y’all, Baek Yoon-Ho is that dedicated, heroic – he literally was a freaking firefighter BEFORE he became an S rank Hunter – painfully responsible, terribly loyal and protective to his people, heartthrob of a side character that part of me is already depressed because I KNOW the series will end up shifting attention away from him after S2 of the anime. And that just makes me sad damn it! So give me all the Yoon-Ho content please, whether is gen with him as Guildmaster leading and mentoring the other Hunters of the White Tiger Guild or doing a dungeon raid (since we actually don’t get to witness much of his freaking white tiger shifter transformation magic on screen as it were) or him awakening to his abilities and rank or being bros with Eun-Seok and Byung-Gyu to super shippy tropey delight with him having an OC soulmate or a X Reader fic even (if you don’t go for one of the canon characters I ship him with below which there of course are NO fics for him for either badass lady yet lolsob). I just want to see this man get good things and be a competent badass. That’s it. BTW, I do headcanon him and Choi being exes of the not-remotely-friends with benefits type and thus Yoon-Ho being bisexual, but while that can be backstory, I do prefer Choi not to be a focus in my gift please.

Baek Yoon-Ho/Cha Hae-In
Hello mutual competency kink! Not me yet again taking a blink and you miss it moment and starting to build a ship around it. Especially not yet another tol and smol ship (not that Hae-In is necessarily small – Yoon-Ho is just stupidly large in the best of ways). But honestly, I really have been sucked in by That Chest Glance moment during the sparring episode when (again bless that thirsty art director) Yoon-Ho steps up beside Hae-In and all of her eye level is Yoon-Ho’s pecs and then crossed arms. I know they were talking about Jin-Woo but SERIOUSLY who wouldn’t be distracted from the subject at eyeline? And then, if that moment wasn’t fanserviced enough, Yoon-Ho freaking WINKS AT HER. Your honors, I rest my shipping case. OTPs have definitely been based on far less evidence. And again, that’s even without considering how clearly he respects her as an S rank Hunter in their battle on Jeju Island. So yeah, slightly older man/younger woman, competency kink, tol and smol, it’s just so so many of my fave tropes and I wants it precious. Do with that what you will LOL.

Baek Yoon-Ho/Park Hee-Jin
My mental vibe for these two definitely has some of the similarities to the above ship as far as tropes, but with a side of boss/subordinate, Guildmaster/Guild member that I really think I could enjoy, especially with how respectful Yoon-Ho appears to be of his people from the little bit we get in the show. Hee-Jin would see a very different side of him in his Guild than even Hae-In might as a fellow S rank, and I think that push and pull between Yoon-Ho and Hee-Jin’s levels both power wise, profession, and age wise could be really interesting. Hee-Jin definitely seems to have her head on straight in the couple episodes we see, and I’d love to see her featured more and get with the handsome love interest. This one also could have all the logistical details I often love from the inner workings of the guild to how her training might have gone to even whether or not they somehow had crossed paths before she awakened. Is that part of why she joined the White Tigers in the first place? In canon, all the S ranks are celebrities, is there a chance for her being starstruck and having to change her expectations of him? Is she one of those folks who hates the tabloids and anyone they focus on just one principle and thus has to see him as a real person in that respect instead? Just give me these two lovelies being lovely together please k thanks.

Oof, this is legit a mashup of two of my fave SF fandoms. Pitch Black is a STUNNING movie fight me! And honestly I even like Chronicles and Riddick (though the latter almost felt a little too much like Pitch Black – I really would have liked to see Furya. Oh well). And Firefly (and Serenity) had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, though yes in retrospect, it had a fair number of Whedon-esque issues (oof the sex work slurs left and right). Still, both are some of my happy places, and putting them together, and in particular these two characters together? So much yes please! I don’t know how to articulate what it is that is so fantastic about these two, but man, it just WORKS for me. I do want River to be of adult age, just FYI, but beyond that, feel free to run wild! Does Riddick escape the Necros and end up getting a ride aboard Serenity? Does River somehow end up crash-landed with the others aboard the Hunter-Gratzner? Are we pre or post Big Damn Movie? Honestly, any of these will make me thrilled. Seriously! BTW, this one is my one exception to my DNW of no sexual blood play, but only when it comes to biting/marking. I still am not game for blades against skin or any kind of dubcon/non-con; I just appreciate Riddick being a bit possessive with his River!

The ridiculous Doom movie is yet another of my way too formative fandoms. It was one of the VERY first I ever wrote fic for actually, and is a large part of my Karl Urban Problem™. Back in the day, said Problem also led to the joy of tying John into other Karl Urban fandoms with his infection turning him into an immortal. Or something? Anyway, Reaper!Vaako having lived for however many hundreds of years falling into the Necro cult if only for the possibility that he might get to die some day could be VERY fun, especially once the Riddick shows up. Riddick after all has a helluva lot of keener instincts than most, and it would be fun to see if he could figure out something is just a little extra off about Vaako. Bonus for this leading to Kyra surviving and that maybe leading to all three of them remembering how to be as close to human as possible. Hell maybe John bites Kyra to save her for Riddick? IDEK. I just like the implications of this!

Sansa Stark (ISOIAF)/Aragorn (LOTR)
I’ve been in a “ship Sansa with people who treat her like a queen” mood, and this crossover pairing has SO MUCH potential. I think I’d prefer it set in one world or the other, but I have read some awesome “slip from one universe to another fic” if that’s really what you are in the mood to write. Regardless of how you get them together, I would prefer no bashing of Arwen as she is glorious – she just isn’t meant to be with Aragorn for this exchange lol. But yeah, Sansa deserved SO MUCH BETTER, and Aragorn is one of my early (probably too early honestly) fantasy crushes. Oh! I also think I would prefer Sansa to be human in either world, but yeah, other than that – run amok! Courtly love! Political shenanigans that a king must deal with no matter than he still feels more like a Ranger! Letters between an arranged marriage! Sansa serving and caring for her people during a war (whichever war you decide on)! I’m just fascinated by the thought of these two – I look forward to seeing what you write!

I also love that the inn pretty much is a perfect crossover vehicle with doors opening up to thousands of worlds and possibilities. (Why yes, yes you could cross over Riddick and/or John Grimm in this location 😉) I would be happy to see just about any crossover in this inn which is why I’ve allowed for Creator’s Choice of Fandom, and bonus Creator’s Choice of any other Ilona Andrews fandom – more Book Devouring Horde-verse shenanigans for the win! (I’ve read everything they’ve released so far so take your pic unless you have an ARC of Maggie in which case I am super jealous and also won’t get what’s going on there sadly until next year). Aside from that, Stargate SG1 is another of my forever fandoms which ALSO has a great potential for crossovers. This sweet little monster-filled anime was recommended in a blog from Ilona Andrews randomly enough – one featuring “comfort” animes to watch given The Everything. And this really was SUCH a comfort of a story. Again, there are monsters to fight and chauvinistic elements to the world building (the prince is an ASS and arranged marriages are very much a thing and not always a great one) which is sort of a fantasy Regency vibe – and thus so my jam LOL. Sei was a delight of a main character, and I loved that it got close to that typical “every handsome man in the vicinity falls desperately in love with her” trope but JUST sidestepped it enough that it’s “every handsome man in the vicinity absolutely ships her and her love interest, Captain Hawke and does their best to get him to just MAKE A MOVE ALREADY.” I will say the slow pace of the anime got a bit overdone at times (2 seasons and a marriage proposal and they NEVER KISSED ON SCREEN), so I would not be opposed to romantic letters getting spicy between them on the road to marriage! Also, I loved all of Sei’s research and experimentation in everything from cooking to healing to monster-slaying, so books or articles from her featuring her academic mind would be a delight!

The Borden Dispatches – Cherie Priest

This is one of those fandoms that I’m honestly SHOCKED doesn’t have any fics for. It’s based on an infamous historical murder AND the Innsmouth story ala Lovecraft. Oh and THEN, it’s written completely in epistolary/found document style with letters, diary entries, snippets of the doctor’s findings, reports of an investigation… It’s so PERFECT for this exchange y’all. Oh yeah, and it features women fighting monsters and chronic illness and a chronically ill woman masquerading as a male academic on paper and a self-taught scientist with an ax and a sapphic sunshine grump couple between Lizzie and her actress girlfriend, and and and. I just loved this concept so so much, and the first book did not disappoint! I would like any gift to be set around the Ravenscroft timeline as opposed to the second book Chapelwood as sadly the massive decades long time skip lost so much of the characters and location I loved so much from the first book! Prompt-wise, you honestly can go wild as long as it’s featuring these ladies! Between their complicated relationships and the crazy circumstances, there really is SO MUCH potential!

I’ll admit, I know very little about Lothiriel as she suffered from the same lack of page time as a lot of JRRT’s heroines (unless she’s in more of the extra stories in which case I just haven’t read them lolsob), but those glimpses of her fate intrigue the hell out of them. In no small part because I love me some Eomer (and will be ever grateful to casting directors for Karl Urban!) and the thought of him having a politically motivated or arranged marriage to the daughter & sister of several of the men he fought beside just hits me RIGHT in the feels. I love the idea of these two falling in love on paper before or after their betrothal and marriage! There’s so much empty space for their story here – I can’t even manage to prompt because I honestly will just love anything you can give me!

Sense and Sensibility – Jane Austen

This pairing is one that fandom totally sold me on. Elinor and Brandon really do feel like a better match than the ones they got, with a quiet glorious competence and respect between them that I could see growing into a strong, contented marriage. It might be a quieter love than one with Marianne involved, but that doesn’t mean it would be any less strong (honestly in my opinion I think that would be a stronger relationship!). I definitely do want shippyness for this fandom if possible though it definitely can be pre-ship. I would prefer if you didn’t kill off or thoroughly ruin Marianne to make it happen, but I do want my Brandon and Eleanor to end up together and happily in love instead of the attitude that they are just “settling” for each other. This is a fandom that I’d be especially game for crossovers for, especially with other Austin stories (Pride & Prejudice and Sanditon are my other faves) or North and South, or the other fandoms requested here. An Inquiry into Love and Death – Simone St. James

A friend dragged me kicking and screaming (occasionally literally thanks to the creepy factor lol) into this author’s ghost story romances, but I have loved every one of them so far and am super sad that I’m literally the only person who has written for any of the books (and only a single one in a previous Yuletide no less LOL). INQUIRY is the book I’ve read most recently for the series (and the only one already with an archive listing), so I figured I’d go ahead and request it separately. For Drew and Jillian, I would love a glimpse into how their courtship goes after she returns to University. This is a fandom where I think epistolary stories/romance would be especially fun, though I also wouldn’t mind seeing a few ghostly letters show up from her Father/Uncle as if he was able to follow her home and finally manage to almost be family from the other side as he never was capable of in life. But regardless, Drew and Jillian are a delight on their own! As far as books or journals, glimpses of the book Toby might have written or even a coauthored book by Toby and Jillian for a posthumous release could be really cool to play with.

Basically, I really REALLY need to focus on getting some original fiction projects completed and out the door into the query trenches once again. And I've definitely noticed I can procrastinate like hell with fanfic, especially with exchanges. And y'all I LOVE EXCHANGES.

But publishing career. BUT PUBLISHING CAREER DAMN IT CAIT.

So yeah, this will be the first year in, hell I don't actually know how long that I'm not signing up for Yuletide, and I went ahead and defaulted on my FFFX assignment since it's early enough that it can pick up a pinch hitter with plenty of time to write them a good story.

I'm so bummed, y'all!

But, this is what I want to do. What I need to do. I just have to remember to remind myself of that.

If I reach my wordcount goals over the next few months, maybe I'll reward myself with writing a pinch hit or treat or something. We'll see. But original fic MUST come first.

Hey all,

I know this tends to be an all "Dear Exchange Author Letter" all the time kind of profile, but I have a question and it seems to be one folks here would have good insight on.

I am working hard to start bringing in funds with my writing little by little via different income streams in hopes of eventually earning my portion of our household bills part time via writing. And one of the ways I want to do that is to start self-publishing, as well as releasing things via small press and trad pub (since both of the latter take a long time to get books out but on the upside don't require any upfront money from me the way self-pub does). But anyway!

My specific question is in regards to some of the Jane Austen fanfiction I've already posted on AO3. I've seen different folks just take their fics down from that site once they are ready to self-pub, usually with an update to the Summary section that it will no longer be on AO3 as of such date or what not. I don't have any novel length fics for that yet, but I did realize I have several longer short stories that are all epistolary for P&P rare pairs and thus would make a themed anthology pretty easily so I'm tempted to take them down for that.

My concern is that most of them were written for fic exchanges and are "gifts" to different people. Should I try to private message/comment to them that the fics are likely to come down so they can donate PDFs, etc?

Jane Austen/classics fanfiction is one of those odd grey areas for publishing, and having it originally written for fic exchanges adds another complication into the mix, so I just figured I'd see how folks felt about it/what they recommended.

I like the idea of JA fanfiction for one of my self-pub pen names because it would still have that sense of "fun/hobby" writing I get for fanfic which I miss sometimes when writing original novels, you know?

Also, I love gifts in general, so I’ll be chuffed to get a prize of any shape and size. I know this letter is ridiculously long as it’s the most fandoms I think I’ve ever signed up for and again I love these fandoms and tend to babble, but don’t let that scare you off. Nor is there any one request that I want more than the others, no matter how much I’ve written for one verses the others. This pairing is one that fandom totally sold me on long before I reread the book and realized I had NO IDEA why Elinor/Brandon wasn’t the original end game. The sheer amount of mutual admiration society moments literally on the page just floors me every time I read it now LOL. And honestly, Elinor and Brandon really do feel like a better match than the ones they got, with their quiet glorious competence and a respect between them that I could see growing into a strong love and contented marriage. It might be a quieter love than one with Marianne involved, but that doesn’t mean it would be any less strong (let’s face it, I’m so gung ho for the pairing because I think instead it will be MUCH stronger). I definitely do want shippyness for this request though it definitely can be pre-ship. I would prefer if you didn’t kill off or thoroughly ruin Marianne to make it happen, but I do want my Brandon and Eleanor to end up together and happily in love instead of the attitude that they are just “settling” for each other because they can’t have the person they originally wanted in Marianne or Edward. I’m honestly ambivalent about what happens to Edward, poor chap. He just never struck me as having much of a spine, and Elinor needs the kind of man who will stand up for her as opposed to just gazing at her uselessly while knowing he isn’t free to pursue her. This is a fandom that I’d be especially game for crossovers or mentions of other characters from other Austen stories (Pride & Prejudice and Sanditon are my other faves tho I’ve only seen S1. Bridgerton or North and South would also be a fun crossover!).

Oh my HEART. In some ways, this book/mini series blows Jane Austen out of the water for me. Darcy who? John Thornton (as permanently played in my head by Richard Armitage after the BBC miniseries of course) is easily my favorite Regency hero of all times: brooding, honest, and desperately in love with Margaret. I did fall into this fandom through the mini-series first, but I’ve since read (and am actually rereading) the book and love it just as much, so feel free to stick with just the book canon or weave in mini-series details as you wish (train station scene anyone?). Prompts: 1) This fandom in particular I’d LOVE epistolary fic for: letters between the two as they fall in love, awkward letters to family members to announce their relationship, even gossip articles about the relationship in the society pages – I’d love absolutely anything in that vein for these two! Heck get crossover-y with it and give me Lady Whistledown’s perspective on their romance! 2) Post-book/miniseries stories – give me their engagement or wedding or how the first year of their married live goes with or without the interference of their various family members and the cotton industry, etc. 3) Smut – these two have such glorious smoldering heat between them – feel free to bring it out on the page! Other than those options, run wild. I know it looks like I don’t have quite as much to say here as I do about some of the other requested fandoms, but honestly, it’s because my brain just dissolves into swooning when I think about John/Margaret and I lose any ability to articulate the things I love about them LOL. Richard B. Riddick (Chronicles of Riddick Series)/River Tam (Firefly)
Oof, this is legit a mashup of two of my fave SF fandoms. Pitch Black is a STUNNING movie fight me! And honestly I even like Chronicles and Riddick (though the latter almost felt a little too much like Pitch Black – I really would have liked to see Furya. Oh well). And Firefly (and Serenity) had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, though yes in retrospect, it had a fair number of Whedon-esque issues (oof the sex work slurs left and right). Still, both are some of my happy places, and putting them together, and in particular these two characters together? So much yes please! I don’t know how to articulate what it is that is so fantastic about these two, but man, it just WORKS for me. I do prefer River to be of adult age, just FYI, but beyond that, feel free to run wild! Does Riddick escape the Necros and end up getting a ride aboard Serenity? Does River somehow end up crash-landed with the others aboard the Hunter-Gratzner? Are we pre or post Big Damn Movie? Honestly, any of these will make me thrilled. Seriously! BTW, this one is my one exception to my DNW of no sexual blood play, but only when it comes to biting/marking. I still am not game for blades against skin or any kind of dubcon/non-con; I just appreciate Riddick being a bit possessive with his River!

Sansa Stark (ISOIAF)/Aragorn (LOTR)
I’ve been in a “ship Sansa with people who treat her like a queen” mood, and this crossover pairing has SO MUCH potential. I think I’d prefer it set in one world or the other, but I have read some awesome “slip from one universe to another fic” if that’s really what you are in the mood to write. Regardless of how you get them together, I would prefer no bashing of Arwen as she is glorious – she just isn’t meant to be with Aragorn for this exchange lol. But yeah, Sansa deserved SO MUCH BETTER, and Aragorn is one of my early (probably too early honestly) fantasy crushes. Oh! I also think I would prefer Sansa to be human in either world, but yeah, other than that – run amok! Courtly love! Political shenanigans that a king must deal with no matter than he still feels more like a Ranger! Letters between an arranged marriage! Sansa serving and caring for her people during a war (whichever war you decide on)! I’m just fascinated by the thought of these two – I look forward to seeing what you write!

Black Clover - Tabata Yuki (Anime & Manga)
Yami Sukehiro
I recently marathoned this anime with my husbeast and MAN I enjoyed the hell out of this character. Part of it admittedly was the English voice actor, who was a delight, but part of it was just Yami in all his ridiculous contradictions. Harsh with his team but also secretly a damn teddy bear with a heart for the underdog; crude as hell but as a Captain probably considered the next thing to nobility. Considered a foreigner, but so expert with the magic and culture that he can mentor Asta. Just, yeah, I was super sucked into this character and want all the fic with him! Prompts: 1) Yami and his pet beasts. I’m a sucker for a big gruff guy adopting baby animals (even if he was forced to defeat their mother), ESPECIALLY when they turn out to be big and fierce but super loving to their adopter. Just all the cuddly and/or battle moments with Yami and his pets. 2) Shippy! I am not into M/M lately but I would love to see Yami either with an OC lady or with Captain Charlotte Roselei. I don’t have specific prompts for this but feel free to run wild as long as Yami gets his love life on (and yes smut is DEFINITELY welcome LOL). 3) Isekai/Portal fantasy Yami! I have only seen the anime of this and was hugely intrigued by the fact that they basically only mention Yami’s past as him washing up on the shore as a “foreigner,” wielding the only Japanese style sword in the show, and then being chosen by a grimoire with pretty damned rare magic. He just SCREAMS isekai hero to me, and I’d love a look at his story from that perspective. I’d also love to see this prompt and the shippy OC prompt combined – is another person transported to the Clover kingdom from our world? How does he recognize her as such? Is she someone he knew there? Again, just lots of fun potentional! 4) Finally, I’m all about the gen found family/adopted BDE (Big Dad Energy… tho ugh the other version also applies LOL) vibe Yami gives off with his team. Anything domestic and family like would be great.

Hilary James Becker/Jess Parker
I don’t know what it is lately, but I’ve been missing this ridiculously delightful pair of tol and smol and sunshine/grump. Jess Parker is just an utter delight of color and unexpected competence at her job being so often underestimated, and it’s such a great contrast to Mr. “I only wear black and something switched me from a soldier to a private security force (possibly an something with a timeline shift no one noticed oops) but overall I. Am. Very. Serious.” And thus don’t have time for bright and lovely Jess Parker. Not even if she thinks he has lovely hair and he brings her chocolate-without-orange when she’s brilliant which is always. Seriously I can’t with this dynamic and these two! Regarding prompts, I love me some “stranded through the anomaly” stories, and anything where Jess gets to show she’s competent in the field as well as behind her desk is also a delight! Alternately something strictly shippy be it fluffy or smutty or both, and I’ll be a happy camper. Just give me more of these two making me smile!

Daniel Jackson
Oh my darling Daniel-in-Distress, polyglot extroidinaire, kind to the bones, still trying desperately to hold on to that wonder at the universe and archeology, I SWEAR! I headcanon him as demisexual (on the ace spectrum and unlikely to feel sexual attraction until an emotional connection is made), so including that would be a bonus, but is not necessary (really, how many folks flirted with him and he legit never noticed or just bluescreened – that poor assassin who tried to hit on him was SO confused LOLOL). For SG1 pairings, the more I rewatch it, the more I’m solely in it for Daniel/Sha-re or Daniel/Janet lately, (Probably because some of the other pairings (including w/villains) are much more prevalent) though I am totally game for some Sam & Daniel brotp! Otherwise, I really love crossover pairings for him, actually, including our Atlantis ladies, Hermione Granger (of legal age), Faith Lehane, & Darcy Lewis, but I’m always willing to see new het crossover pairings for him if it’s a fandom I’m familiar with. I’m a multi-shipper for sure, so I’m willing to be surprised – especially with characters from some of the other fandoms here. Just please avoid noncon/dubcon for him. Also, if you are a M/M shipper for him, please go the gen route as there’s a lot of M/M out there for him and I’m not in the mood for it lately. Story Prompts! 1) Give Daniel a Good DayTM – bless him I don’t think the man has really RESTED since the series started, even after coming back from the dead multiple times. Just give him something relaxing and domestic and non-life threatening please lol. 2) Academia woes! We know he has all the PhDs ever & generally you need to publish or attend conferences etc to keep up your identity in the academic world. I know the Stargate Program makes this… exciting to manage, especially after his infamous presentation way back when. So how does he do so? Feel free to bring in Sam or some of the other researchers with this one. 3) Daniel goes to Atlantis for longer than a couple episodes – he deserves it! Whether he was a part of the original expedition or actually makes it there during one of the times Vala interrupts his plans, or even if things go FUBAR and the whole of SGC has to retreat from Earth to Atlantis. I just want him to get to know the city he searched so long for. I’m also definitely a fan of semi-sentient but maybe non-verbal Atlantis having her faves, and with or without the gene (though I am game for him to have gotten it post-Ascensions), Daniel could easily be one of those faves. 4) Kidfic! It may have been Michael Shanks’s fatherhood experience coming through but MAN Daniel was always so sweet when they encountered kiddos. I’d love to see him get to be a dad, adopted or otherwise. Did Oma manage to remove Shifu’s powers so he could grow up a normal kid with Daniel? Is Daniel co-parenting Cassie (shippy Janet option right there!)? Or even that little girl from Birthright – it would be a helluva culture shock for her on Earth, but you never know! Seriously, I just would love to see Daddy!Daniel here. 5) Another shippy option: Sha’re!Lives AU – how is she saved or is she never taken? What would the pair of them be like with the SGC in that case? Would he or she still be on a gate team or would they have a more on-site role? I would want them with the SGC tho as opposed to just on Abydos.

And now for Michael Shanks playing someone COMPLETELY different than above LOL. This show overall is such a blast, and I always enjoy the hell out of most of the ensemble cast, but my fave character hands down only appeared on screen in 3 episodes before dying. WHAT. A. WASTE. There’s just so much that’s so damned tragic about Victor – in a single day he goes from what we can only assume is a skilled and successful spy with a loving family at the top of his game to losing that family in an explosion, being burned and assumably blamed for it, and recruited by Karla, only to years later figure out Karla (and the entire organization) actually caused all of the destruction of his life. Is it any surprise it broke him? I mean really? Not to say he’s not a murderous bastard – ‘broken’ has definitely turned him into a murder happy Mad Hatter type of man who is unpredictable as hell in a delightful way (along with him being charming and ridiculously physically attractive). But there was clearly a good man in there for him to have been so dedicated to his job and family originally. He's like a shattered mirror of what Michael might have been had his own burn notice taken casualties with him. So, what do I want for this request? Just save Victor – keep him alive, of course, but also let Michael and the team start saving him little by little with the good they do despite some of the terrible ways they often get the good things accomplished. Throwing another wild card into the mix (as lord knows Fi already plays that role) could be SUCH fun. Oddly, I don’t actually ship Victor with anyone canon on the show or alternately, I’d have to ship him with EVERYONE indiscriminately, I think if that makes sense? So if you do want to write something shippy for him, I’d think I’d prefer either his canon wife or an OC lady – whether it's discovering his wife and child didn’t die after all but thought he died instead, or a client for Michael’s team keeps catching Victor’s attention though DAMN if he can figure out why, or he’s stuck playing babysitter to a client needing a close bodyguard until the job is finished and Victor’s pissed he’s missing all the fun (read violence) until things go very wrong and he gets to get very violent indeed. Hell, go full tropey with it and set them in the apocalypse or have Victor up and find a soul mark and that poor woman have NO IDEA what they’re in for when it comes to his entire luggage train worth of emotional baggage LOL. Just yeah, give me more of Victor among the living, please k thanks! Oh hey I am game for twins separated by the foster system Victor Stecker-Epps and Daniel Jackson shenanigans if you are a fan of both shows – talk about a culture shock if the two ever collided!

The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon (2008)

(I swear this is my last Michael Shanks request I swear LOL. What can I say, I tend to marathon fandom boyfriends and currently he’s in several LOL) Y’all, this movie is so SO bad in the best of ways. It’s just the embodiment of “crack taken seriously” for me with relatively well known actors trying SO HARD to save this movie from its questionable script and really terrible special effects. My fave character Jacob Thain (played by Michael Shanks is once again delightfully playing a polyglot archeologist which just WORKS for me lol) the seemingly snooty useless academic caricature who slowly reveals his competency over the course of the movie, complete with a fluency in an “ancient” Aztec language and familiarity in escaping traps that gives the strong impression he has in fact been in the field many times, despite the impression everyone else on the dig has of him. Basically he’s a walking competency kink for me, and I really REALLY enjoy Michael Shanks speaking various languages LOL. As to prompts, I’d love to see prequel type adventures dealing with his past and where he’s gained his skills, or alternately sequel type stories with or without Susan Jordan as an ongoing love interest. Also fun would possibly be crossovers with other adventure/archeologist characters like Helen Magnus from Sanctuary, any of The Librarians, or The Mummy movies. Mostly I just want to see this fandom get its first fic in the archive, and a long one from this exchange would be a delight!

Let’s be honest, if you decided to write for this pairing, then you probably are already on this little rowboat of a ship with me and don’t need my spiel about these two in particular. So how about some prompts instead? 1. AU where Billy really is someone she might have known back in England. Bookish Abigail keeps buying journals & stationary at the same printer’s shop for reasons, and society ends up scandalized when the daughter of a governor forms an attachment to the son of a Leveler. 2. Billy courting Abigail be in in an AU in England or in Nassau. Is he good at it? Is he rubbish at it? Is he so painfully adorable that we (and Abigail) don’t care either way? 3. Modern AU firefighter!Billy. I’ll admit I’ve written a fill for this prompt before, but I just don’t think there can be enough of it LOL. 4. Really just Abigail climbing Billy like a tree because smut is always acceptable.

Abigail Ashe/Charles Vane
Abigail was raised a gentlewoman but clearly a little bloodthirsty and less intimidated by pirates than she should be, and that just DESTROYS ME. Her response to Vane of “Good” will never fail to be delightfully chilling, and I can see that steel in her definitely catching Charles’s attention. Without Eleanor there to blind him with their tumultuous history and sexual attention, I can see that bit of intrigue growing into a grudging respect and later into attraction. However you get them back in the same location, whether the crew finds Abigail during the sacking of Charles Town and takes her with them on the ship or if she finds her way to Nassau due to her reputation being ‘ruined’ in the eyes of society – I’m really not picky on the details. I just want to see these two together, preferably with both enthusiastically consenting. Also pirate!Abigail would definitely be something I’d enjoy for this pairing for sure!

Abigail Ashe/Billy Bones/Charles Vane
What can I say: my answer to any ships where I can see multiple pairings/connections of the same few folks is, of course, to just trio them all together! And hey Black Sails is a canon threesomes fandom so I think adding another OT3 just makes it even better, don’t you? No specific details for this one, though I do have one prompt I’ve been craving forever: The Walking Dead AU, preferably in the Modern universe since I’ve gotten a GLORIOUS Black Sails era zombie fic previously! I have no idea why that specific scenario sounds so fun for this trio; it just does. All other characters as survivors definitely welcome just as long as these three are the chore of the story. Also a delight on the AU side would be a Pacific Rim AU, Black Jewels AU, or Western AU – really I don’t know why but this trio makes AUs pop into my head lol.

I’m also a fan of worldbuilding/mixed media, too if that’s your thing. Prompt wise: 1) Pacific Rim AU with Tori/Olivia as pilots against the massive monstrous females of the species who’ve finally figured out how to survive out of the deepest depths long enough to reach shore to hunt? 2) Ray & Olivia’s bromance was one of my fave relationships here and I’d love to see him survive and TOTALLY ship Olivia/Tori– fixit fic for the win! 3) Anything playing with the mixed media format from the books: transcripts from the survivors of the Melucine, Tori & Louis’s scientific presentation of their findings, emails between Oliva and/or Ray and Imagine? 4) The other/previous “mockumentaries” Imagine did – were they all actually fake or did the people on site cover something up? Oh my HEART. In some ways, this book/mini series blows Jane Austen out of the water for me. Darcy who? John Thornton (as permanently played in my head by Richard Armitage after the BBC miniseries of course) is easily my favorite Regency hero of all times: brooding, honest, and desperately in love with Margaret. I did fall into this fandom through the mini-series first, but I’ve since read (and am actually rereading) the book and love it just as much, so feel free to stick with just the book canon or weave in mini-series details as you wish (train station scene anyone?). Prompts: 1) This fandom in particular I’d LOVE epistolary fic for: letters between the two as they fall in love, awkward letters to family members to announce their relationship, even gossip articles about the relationship in the society pages – I’d love absolutely anything in that vein for these two! Heck get crossover-y with it and give me Lady Whistledown’s perspective on their romance! 2) Post-book/miniseries stories – give me their engagement or wedding or how the first year of their married live goes with or without the interference of their various family members and the cotton industry, etc. 3) Smut – these two have such glorious smoldering heat between them – feel free to bring it out on the page! This pairing is one that fandom totally sold me on long before I reread the book and realized I had NO IDEA why Elinor/Brandon wasn’t the original end game. The sheer amount of mutual admiration society moments literally on the page just floors me every time I read it now LOL. And honestly, Elinor and Brandon really do feel like a better match than the ones they got, with their quiet glorious competence and a respect between them that I could see growing into a strong love and contented marriage. It might be a quieter love than one with Marianne involved, but that doesn’t mean it would be any less strong (let’s face it, I’m so gung ho for the pairing because I think instead it will be MUCH stronger). I definitely do want shippyness for this request though it definitely can be pre-ship. I would prefer if you didn’t kill off or thoroughly ruin Marianne to make it happen, but I do want my Brandon and Eleanor to end up together and happily in love instead of the attitude that they are just “settling” for each other because they can’t have the person they originally wanted in Marianne or Edward. I’m honestly ambivalent about what happens to Edward, poor chap. He just never struck me as having much of a spine, and Elinor needs the kind of man who will stand up for her as opposed to just gazing at her uselessly while knowing he isn’t free to pursue her. This is a fandom that I’d be especially game for crossovers or mentions of other characters from other Austen stories (Pride & Prejudice and Sanditon are my other faves) or even North and South and/or Bridgerton for Lady Whistledown-esque society pages.

Let’s be honest, I am 100% solely in this fandom for the little found family of survivors at the end of the movie and this couple and their off the charts chemistry and competency kink. It’s one of my top comfort movies – full of space horror and space marines and one scared little girl who manages to live against all possible odds and an android that is far more human that the company asshole along for the ride. And then there’s Ripley – have I mentioned our lady and savior badass extroidinaire and all around incredibly gorgeous human, Ellen Ripley? There literally is nothing I don’t love about this character, holy hell. Seriously I just want them to survive after the end of the film (3rd movie – what 3rd movie?), however you manage to do it, whether it’s rewriting the canon events of the 3rd movie to have all of them there and surviving that hell, too, or they take off for parts unknown, or continue to be hunted by Weyland-Yutani – just SOMETHING for these lovelies will thrill me. And yes, I happily welcome smut for Hicks and Ripley! One final little detail, the only negative of this movie was that there wasn’t enough of Jonesy the cat – I know bringing him back into the thick of things could be complicated given he was left on the station, but I’d love to see Ripley get her kitty back.

I’ve been in a “ship Sansa with people who treat her like a queen” mood, and this crossover pairing has SO MUCH potential. I think I’d prefer it set in one world or the other, but I have read some awesome “slip from one universe to another fic” if that’s really what you are in the mood to write. Regardless of how you get them together, I would prefer no bashing of Arwen as she is glorious – she just isn’t meant to be with Aragorn for this exchange lol. But yeah, Sansa deserved SO MUCH BETTER, and Aragorn is one of my early (probably too early honestly) fantasy crushes. Oh! I also think I would prefer Sansa to be human in either world, but yeah, other than that – run amok! Courtly love! It’s just the embodiment of “crack taken seriously” for me with relatively well known actors trying SO HARD to save this movie from its questionable script and really terrible special effects. My fave character (unsurprisingly for anyone who knows my various fandom boyfriends) was Jacob Thain (played by Michael Shanks aka Daniel Jackson from Stargate who is once again delightfully playing an archeologist which just WORKS for me lol) the seemingly snooty useless academic caricature who slowly reveals his competency over the course of the movie, complete with a fluency in an “ancient” Aztec language and familiarity in escaping traps that gives the strong impression he has in fact been in the field many times, despite the impression everyone else on the dig has of him. Basically he’s a walking competency kink for me, and I really REALLY enjoy Michael Shanks speaking various languages LOL. As to prompts, I’d love to see prequel type adventures dealing with his past and where he’s gained his skills, or alternately sequel type stories with or without Susan Jordan as an ongoing love interest. Also fun would possibly be crossovers with other adventure/archeologist characters be they from The Librarians or The Mummy movies. Y’all I don’t even go here *headdesk* This is one that a fandom friend completely won me over to with a really stunning fic (for a fandom I haven’t even watched – why why do I let my writer friends do this to me??? LOLOL), and now I just want more of it. Give me all the mutual respect between creatives and Penelope figuring out there’s a Bridgerton who isn’t afraid for it to be known he’s attracted to her. Seriously, the girl is stunning – give the curvy girl some love! BTW I know I mention it above, but I really love for this to remain in the Regency (ish lol) world of the show as opposed to any modern AUs. Also, epistolary elements and/or Lady Whistledown content would be a TON of fun for this one. Finally, this is a fandom that I’d be especially game for crossovers or mentions of Jane Austen stories (Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, and Sanditon are my other faves tho I’ve only seen S1 of the latter. Oh my darling Daniel-in-Distress, polyglot extroidinaire, kind to the bones, still trying desperately to hold on to that wonder at the universe and archeology, I SWEAR! I headcanon him as demisexual (on the ace spectrum and unlikely to feel sexual attraction until an emotional connection is made), so including that would be a bonus, but is not necessary (really tho, how many folks flirted with him and he legit never noticed or just bluescreened – that poor assassin who tried to hit on him was SO confused LOLOL). For SG1 pairings, the more I rewatch it, the more I’m solely in it for Daniel/Sha-re or Daniel/Janet lately, (Probably because some of the other pairings (including w/villains) are much more prevalent) though I am totally game for some Sam & Daniel brotp! Otherwise, I really love crossover pairings for him, actually, including any of the Atlantis ladies, Hermione Granger (of legal age), Faith Lehane, & Darcy Lewis, but I’m always willing to see new het crossover pairings for him if it’s a fandom I’m familiar with. Story Prompts! 1) Give Daniel a Good DayTM – bless him I don’t think the man has really RESTED since the series started, even after coming back from the dead multiple times. Just give him something relaxing and domestic and non-life threatening please lol. 2) Academia woes! We know he has all the PhDs ever & generally you need to publish or attend conferences etc to keep up your identity in the academic world. I know the Stargate Program makes this… exciting to manage, especially after his infamous presentation way back when. So how does he do so? Feel free to bring in Sam or some of the other researchers with this one, or even make it shippy: give me a medical conference with Daniel as Janet’s arm candy or an archeology conference with folks very confused by Daniel’s pretty wife’s fluency when she “doesn’t have a degree or experience.” 3) Daniel goes to Atlantis for longer than a couple episodes – he deserves it! Whether he was a part of the original expedition or actually makes it there during one of the times Vala interrupts his plans, or even if things go FUBAR and the whole of SGC has to retreat from Earth to Atlantis. I just want him to get to know the city he searched so long for. I’m also definitely a fan of semi-sentient but maybe non-verbal Atlantis having her faves, and with or without the gene (though I am game for him to have gotten it post-Ascensions), Daniel could easily be one of those faves. 4) Kidfic! It may have been Michael Shanks’s fatherhood experience coming through but MAN Daniel was always so sweet when they encountered kiddos. I’d love to see him get to be a dad, adopted or otherwise. Did Oma manage to remove Shifu’s powers so he could grow up a normal kid with Daniel? Is Daniel co-parenting Cassie (shippy Janet option right there!)? Or even that little girl from Birthright – it would be a helluva culture shock for her on Earth, but you never know! Seriously, I just would love to see gooddad!Daniel here. 5) Another shippy option: Sha’re!Lives AU – how is she saved or is she never taken? What would the pair of them be like with the SGC in that case? Would he or she still be on a gate team or would they have a more on-site role? I would want them with the SGC tho as opposed to just on Abydos. 6) Related LOL Janet Lives AU – throw her into the mix of Season 9 & 10 (whether in place of Vala and/or Caroline or just in addition to them, I care not which). Both actors really felt these two should be shipped, and how can I argue? Basically just let Janet climb Daniel like a tree. Height kink for the win!

And now for Michael Shanks playing someone COMPLETELY different than above LOL. This show overall is such a blast, and I always enjoy the hell out of most of the ensemble cast, but my fave character hands down only appeared on screen in 3 episodes before dying. WHAT. A. WASTE. There’s just so much that’s so damned tragic about Victor – in a single day he goes from what we can only assume is a skilled and successful spy with a loving family at the top of his game to losing that family in an explosion, being burned and blamed for it, and recruited by Karla, only to years later figure out Karla (and the entire organization) actually caused all of the destruction of his life. Is it any surprise it broke him? I mean really? Not to say he’s not a murderous bastard – ‘broken’ has definitely turned him into a murder happy Mad Hatter type of man who is unpredictable as hell in a delightfully attractive way (along with him being charming and ridiculously physically attractive). But there was clearly a good man in there for him to have been so dedicated to his job and family originally. He's like a shattered mirror of what Michael might have been had his own burn notice taken casualties with him. So, what do I want for this request? Just save Victor – keep him alive, of course, but also let Michael and the team start saving him little by little with the good they do despite some of the terrible ways they often get the good things accomplished. Throwing another wild card into the mix (as lord knows Fi already plays that role) could be SUCH fun. Oddly, I don’t actually ship Victor with anyone canon on the show or alternately, I’d have to ship him with EVERYONE indiscriminately, I think if that makes sense? So if you do want to write something shippy for him, I’d think I’d prefer either his canon wife or an OC lady – whether it's discovering his wife and child didn’t die after all but thought he died instead, or a client for Michael’s team keeps catching Victor’s attention though DAMN if he can figure out why, or he’s stuck playing babysitter to a client needing a close bodyguard until the job is finished and Victor’s pissed he’s missing all the fun (read violence) until things go very wrong and he gets to get very violent indeed. Hell, go full tropey with it and set them in the apocalypse or have Victor up and find a soul mark and that poor woman have NO IDEA what they’re in for when it comes to his entire luggage train worth of emotional baggage LOL. Just yeah, give me more of Victor among the living, please k thanks! Oh hey I am game for twins separated by the foster system Victor Stecker-Epps and Daniel Jackson shenanigans if you are a fan of both shows – talk about a culture shock if the two ever collided!

Let’s be honest, if you decided to write for this pairing, then you probably are already on this little rowboat of a ship with me and don’t need my spiel about these two in particular. So how about some prompts instead? 1. AU where Billy really is someone she might have known back in England. Bookish Abigail keeps buying journals & stationary at the same printer’s shop for reasons, and society ends up scandalized when the daughter of a governor forms an attachment to the son of a Leveler. 2. Billy courting Abigail be in in an AU in England or in Nassau. Is he good at it? Is he rubbish at it? Is he so painfully adorable that we (and Abigail) don’t care either way? 3. Modern AU shipwreck divers/salvagers or marine biologists! Are they cryptid hunters after deep sea mermaids ala ROLLING IN THE DEEP by Mira Grant? Are they salvaging from wrecks illegally ala piracy? Abigail was raised a gentlewoman, but clearly is a little more bloodthirsty and less intimidated by pirates than she should be, and that just DESTROYS ME. Her response to Vane of “Good” will never fail to be delightfully chilling, and I can see that steel in her definitely catching Charles’s attention. Without Eleanor there to blind him with their tumultuous history and sexual attention, I can see that bit of intrigue growing into a grudging respect and later into attraction. However you get them back in the same location, whether the crew finds Abigail during the sacking of Charles Town and takes her with them on the ship or if she finds her way to Nassau due to her reputation being ‘ruined’ in the eyes of society – I’m really not picky on the details. I just want to see these two together, preferably with both enthusiastically consenting. Also pirate!Abigail would definitely be something I’d enjoy for this pairing for sure! What can I say: my answer to any ships where I can see multiple pairings/connections of the same few folks is, of course, to just trio them all together! And hey Black Sails is a canon threesomes fandom so I think adding another OT3 just makes it even better, don’t you? No specific details for this one, though I do have several AU prompts: 1) The Walking Dead AU, preferably in the Modern universe since I’ve gotten a GLORIOUS Black Sails era zombie fic previously! I have no idea why that specific scenario sounds so fun for this trio; it just does. Richard B. Riddick (Chronicles of Riddick Series)/River Tam (Firefly)
Oof, this is legit a mashup of two of my fave SF fandoms. Pitch Black is a STUNNING movie fight me! And honestly I even like Chronicles and Riddick (though the latter almost felt a little too much like Pitch Black – I really would have liked to see Furya. Oh well). And Firefly (and Serenity) had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, though yes in retrospect, it had a fair number of Whedon-esque issues (oof the sex work slurs left and right). Still, both are some of my happy places, and putting them together, and in particular these two characters together? So much yes please! I don’t know how to articulate what it is that is so fantastic about these two, but man, it just WORKS for me. I do prefer River to be of adult age, just FYI, but beyond that, feel free to run wild! Does Riddick escape the Necros and end up getting a ride aboard Serenity? Does River somehow end up crash-landed with the others aboard the Hunter-Gratzner? Are we pre or post Big Damn Movie? Honestly, any of these will make me thrilled. Seriously! BTW, this one is my one exception to my DNW of no sexual blood play, but only when it comes to biting/marking. I still am not game for blades against skin or any kind of dubcon/non-con; I just appreciate Riddick being a bit possessive with his River and vice versus!

I don’t know what it is lately, but I’ve been missing this ridiculously delightful pair of tol and smol and sunshine/grump. Jess Parker is just an utter delight of color and unexpected competence at her job being so often underestimated, and it’s such a great contrast to Mr. “I only wear black and something switched me from a soldier to a private security force (possibly an something with a timeline shift no one noticed oops) but overall I. Am. Very. Serious.” And thus doesn’t have time for bright and lovely Jess Parker. Not even if she thinks he has lovely hair and he brings her chocolate-without-orange when she’s brilliant which is always. Seriously I can’t with this dynamic and these two! Regarding prompts, I love me some “stranded through the anomaly” stories, and anything where Jess gets to show she’s competent in the field as well as behind her desk is also a delight! Alternately something strictly shippy be it fluffy or smutty or both, and I’ll be a happy camper. Just give me more of these two making me smile!

A friend dragged me kicking and screaming (occasionally literally thanks to the creepy factor lol) into this author’s ghost story romances, but I have loved every one of them so far and am super sad that I’m literally the only person who has written for any of the books. While not listed as a specific series, each of the books is set in the same timeframe, and there are little Easter egg mentions of various characters from earlier books showing up in the later books making all of this a true connected canon. The love interests are great, but the real stars are definitely the main characters of the ladies getting drawn into the ghostly world in one way or another. The one thing this series is lacking for me, however, are really great women friendships, and honestly, who better to be friends than these heroines? It’s not as if they could talk about what they’ve experienced with just anyone, now could they? While SILENCE OF THE DEAD is my fave, and I’ve read INQUIRY INTO LOVE AND DEATH most recently, all five of the books are a delight, and I’d love to see letters between any of these ladies or even something like a “Ladies Paranormalist Meeting” minutes. Mentions of the men from the series will of course be welcome, but I really want a focus on these women being friends and/or correspondents with each other.

An Inquiry into Love and Death – Simone St. James

As I mentioned above, INQUIRY is the book I’ve read most recently for the series (and the only one already with an archive listing), so I figured I’d go ahead and request it separately. For Drew and Jillian, I would love a glimpse into how their courtship goes after she returns to University. This is a fandom where I think epistolary stories/romance would be especially fun, though I also wouldn’t mind seeing a few ghostly letters show up from her Father/Uncle as if he was able to follow her home and finally manage to almost be family from the other side as he never was capable of in life. But regardless, Drew and Jillian are a delight on their own! For other prompts, glimpses of the book Toby might have written or even a coauthored book by Toby and Jillian for a posthumous release could be really cool to play with.

The Innkeeper Chronicles - Ilona Andrews

Really what’s not to love about an intergalactic Bed and Breakfast? Dina/Sean have my whole heart I swear, though honestly I really love all of the characters in this story, especially the inn itself, Gertrude Hunt which DEFINITELY feels like a character all on its own (Inn POV fic?). So, prompt/concepts I’m excited about: I’d love to have a 1st POV fic ala the books (though from any character you like – Dina, of course, is always a win as the book’s POV character, but I’m game for a look into anyone’s head, especially outsider POV on Dina/Sean), & I’d like it mostly set in and around Gertrude Hunt since the inn is a delight and the other “character” I specifically requested. Domestic fic in particular would make me super happy here. We always see Dina in a panic, but rarely get those calm moments of life running like normal or even with a guest that ISN’T close to causing an intergalactic incident. Of course, if you do want to write an action fic I’d be happy to read that as well. Seriously run wild – this series just makes me happy in general. BTW, I would definitely be thrilled to have a crossover with any of the other Ilona Andrews series as long as it’s taking place in the Innkeeper universe.

The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon (2008)

Y’all, this movie is so SO bad in the best of ways. It’s just the embodiment of “crack taken seriously” for me with well known actors trying SO HARD to save this movie from its questionable script and really terrible special effects. My fave character (unsurprisingly for anyone who knows my various fandom boyfriends) was Jacob Thain (played by Michael Shanks aka Daniel Jackson from Stargate who is once again delightfully playing an archeologist which just WORKS for me lol) the seemingly snooty useless academic caricature who slowly reveals his competency over the course of the movie, complete with a fluency in an “ancient” Aztec language and familiarity in escaping traps that gives the strong impression he has in fact been in the field many times, despite the impression everyone else on the dig has of him being useless. Basically he’s a walking competency kink for me, and I really REALLY enjoy Michael Shanks speaking various languages LOL. As to prompts, I’d love to see prequel type adventures dealing with his past and where he’s gained his skills, or alternately sequel type stories with or without Susan Jordan as an ongoing love interest (her character was very meh to me sadly). Also fun would possibly be crossovers with other adventure/archeologist characters be they from The Librarians or The Mummy movies. Mostly I just want to see this fandom get its first fic in the archive!

Christmas Lodge (2011)

Jack Rand & Charlene Rand, Mary Tobin/Jack Rand
Oh hey it’s another random Michael Shanks fandom (why yes I tend to have the current fandom boyfriend in multiple exchange requests – I regret nothing! LOL). This one is an utterly sticky sweet comfort movie for me. It’s very Hallmark movie, but while yes, it’s got a huge amount of Christian scripture (which you can DEFINITELY skip both in the movie and in the fic), it’s surprisingly feminist with Mary getting to both get the guy AND still keep the job she’s amazing at, to the point that her job opens a new office just for her to allow her to work in the rural area with the small towns she loves. Jack Rand (Michael Shanks’s character) is my catnip as far as romance hero bait: he’s a single dad who cooks and adores his daughter and who’s struggling to rebuild the lodge his family has built and run for so long but that fell to ruin while he was mourning his wife and helping his late parents through ill health before their deaths, as well. The costume director definitely leaned into the romance novel tropes, dressing him in flannels and sweaters and henleys and bonus tool belts just in case we weren’t quite sold on him as yet another walking competency kink LOLOL. It’s just a really sweet low stakes romance, y’all, and it screams the holiday season mood for me. Prompt wise, I’d really love domestic fic vibes with anything from Jack and Charlene as their tiny family prior to the movie to Mary and Jack and Charlene building their family together and continuing to run Christmas Lodge as a functioning vacation lodge/B&B for years to come (I don’t know what it is but I really do love B&Bs). I’d also love more of Mary and Jack as a couple, whether it’s getting together or them as a couple. And yes, yes, this DOES mean I would welcome smut – the movie literally doesn’t even have them kiss until Jack proposes LOL, so uh, a little more chemistry and physicality would be great. For a completely off the wall, specific prompt – if you have read and are a fan of the Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews, I think it could be a blast to see Christmas Lodge as one of the magical intergalactic Inns with Jack Rand as an Innkeeper and Mary having to learn just how magical the lodge actually is. Obviously not remotely required – just figured I’d mention it since it popped into my head!

Rolling in the Deep Series – Mira Grant (including both Prequel novella ROLLING IN THE DEEP and sequel novel INTO THE DROWNING DEEP)

Y’all Seanan McGuire (and her horror pen name Mira Grant) has claimed my all-time fave author title, and these books are the perfect example of why. Deep. Sea. Murder. Mermaids. DEEP SEA MURDER MERMAIDS. Run amok here seriously, I’m game for anything including crossovers especially though I have NO IDEA how you’ll pull it off with some of the other fandoms I’ve requested. Prompt wise: 1) Pacific Rim AU with Tori/Olivia as pilots against said murder mermaids and their monstrous females of the species who’ve finally figured out how to survive out of the deepest depths long enough to reach shore to hunt? 2) Ray & Olivia’s bromance was one of my fave relationships here and I’d love to see it not end the way it did – fixit fic for the win! 3) Anything playing with the mixed media format from the books: transcripts from the survivors of the Melucine, Tori & Louis’s scientific presentation of their findings, emails between Oliva and/or Ray and Imagine? 4) The previous “mockumentaries” Imagine did – were they all actually as fake as thought or did the people on site cover something else up? Were Olivia and Ray (and possibly Anne?) involved in tracking down Bigfoot or a chupacabra? Is Tori dragged along in their wake if the next one takes place after the Melucine? Aside from that, I’m always a fan of stories that crossover various fandoms by the same author, so I’d totally be game with a related Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant verse character or setting colliding with this one!

For M-rated fics, I particularly love dirty talk, a dom ordering their sub around without humiliating language, service doms and service subs, hair-pulling, restraint i.e.: ropes/shibari/handcuffs/holding partner down, wall sex, shower sex, cramped vehicular sex, biting/marking (without major blood being drawn), mate bonds, “OMG we didn’t die” sex, and “sharing body heat” leading to sex.

Optional Re Crossovers Between Requests: I also wanted to generally mention that while I have separated all these fandoms out in general requests to make my sign up work, crossovers of just about anything are love in my opinion. Thus, I am game for crossovers between basically any of these fandoms, so if there’s something else that jumps out at you, I will probably enjoy it! Just please stick with the fandom specific notes I have added as far as characters/pairings/prefer not to get too much of, etc. If it’s a really off the wall crossover that you are nervous about (one of the Regency fandoms meets one of the space sets perhaps?), reach out to the mods – I am quick to answer my email! These are all comfort fandoms for me in an odd way, I’ve realized. Yes, there are a ton of explosions and violence on “screen” (or on the page in the case of the Innkeeper Chronicles), but there’s also a lot of really great character moments. Plus, the settings just SHINE. Each of them has the kind of setting that totally creates the mood, whether it’s the Gertrude Hunt (which, it’s an intergalactic B&B – talk about a built-in crossover method!) to the Sulaco to the painful bureaucracy of Orus… I just love all of these different takes on space and the ways folks might end up there. Plus, did we mention all the different aliens? Oh, and the competency kink basically EVERYWHERE including between the canon couples? Again, I just love these fandoms and characters and I can’t wait to see how you combine them!

Stargate SG1, Primeval, Alice 2009

Aka the Portals/Mirrors Set

Oh, the opportunities for falling through a portal or mirror in this one! Each of these has such a fun way of creating multiple worlds and/or timelines, and it could be really fun to explore the characters accidentally slipping into another fandom as well as the other worlds in their canons. Additionally, the fact that they all have their own military/security type service (with Primeval and SG1 both in the ‘real’ world while Alice 2009s are on the other side of the mirror) could lead to a lot of fun with some conflict and confusion between each of the teams. Really, I just enjoy the hell out of these – they’re some of my nostalgia faves lately!

What can I say? I love Regency stories so so much, and these are some of my faves! From classic Jane Austen and Elizabeth Gaskell to the much more recent Bridgerton and much more magical Mary Robinette Kowal, these are just a comfort all the way around. Whether you are mixing Austen characters into each other’s stories, or introducing them to a certain couple from the North, or if everyone has the Glamour from Kowal’s books, I just love the idea of seeing these mixed and matched all over the place! I am especially game for F/F couples across the fandoms if that is your thing, though I honestly don’t care if you go with period typical opinions of those types of couples or if it’s a queer-positive universe. I just want the gorgeous Regency settings and these darlings interacting!

What can I say – there’s something I love about diners as settings – the food, the sense of small towns even if located in the big city, and best of all, the liminal spaces. People travelling in and out, and rarely sticking around save for the staff. And diners that are just slightly out of our reality? Those are even better somehow! Both these fandoms have a pretty significant diner than shows up from the nameless diner as purgatory for the Ancients Daniel visits when he dies (or well… one of the times he dies LOL) to Emma’s ghost road serving Last Dance (or more menancingly Last Chance). So, what if these two were actually the same diner with different doors? I could really see a delightful amount of spirit-y shenanigans happening if so!

This one smells like old books to me in the best of ways. All four fandoms have a lot of focus on myths and legends from Daniel’s background in archeology and anthropology to the Librarians’ Annex and their focus on Arthurian legends and even fairy tales to the Sanctuary’s focus on taking care of abnormals and/or cryptids. Plus, bless them all, they are practically old-book/research porn from so many angles, and the book lover in me really appreciates that. So yeah, however you want to enjoy that concept – just have fun! As far as the time period, I’m game for whatever – there’s canon time travel and immortal characters in several of these fandoms after all LOL

Y’all I don’t even go here *headdesk* This is one that a fandom friend completely won me over to with a really stunning fic (for a fandom I haven’t even watch – why why do I let my writer friends do this to me??? LOLOL), and now I just want more of it. Give me all the mutual respect between creatives and Penelope figuring out there’s a Bridgerton who isn’t afraid for it to be known he’s attracted to her. Seriously, the girl is stunning – give the curvy girl some love! BTW I know I mention it above, but I really love for this to remain in the Regency (ish lol) world of the show as opposed to any modern AUs.

Oof, this is legit one of my fave SF fandoms. Pitch Black is a STUNNING movie fight me! And honestly I even like Chronicles and Riddick (though the latter almost felt a little too much like Pitch Black – I really would have liked to see Furya. Oh well). In any case, I am a SHIP RIDDICK WITH SO MANY THINGS kind of person, though I do prefer them to be female or femme non-binary type folks. But beyond that feel free to go wild. Is it another Furyan he stumbles on? A regular human who’s going through hell and finds a monster to drag her out of it? A bounty hunter who changes her mind? Riddick is another I’m gave for a crossover pairing with if you wish as well. Really as long as my gender preferences are followed, I’m good to go!

Y’all, I love Jane Austen fanfiction – I even happily buy some of the published ones. My faves tho are the ones focusing on the side characters as opposed to the main couples, and MAN this exchange gives me the opportunity to ask for some fun ones! All of the above four characters always deserved better than what the book gave them in my opinion, and I’m thrilled to see how you can get them to their happily ever afters. I’m legitimately fine with any of these pairings – just let them be happy at the end and give me the lovely Regency setting!

Oh Daniel my darling Daniel-in-Distress, polyglot extroidinaire, kind to the bones, still trying desperately to hold on to that wonder at the universe and archeology, I SWEAR! I won’t lie, he is 90% of my love for these two requests, but I do adore both ladies as well, I promise LOL. But yeah, Story Prompts! 1) Give Daniel and his lady love (whichever you choose) a Good DayTM – bless him I don’t think the man has really RESTED since the series started, even after coming back from the dead multiple times. Just give them something relaxing and domestic and fluffy and romantic and non-life threatening please lol. 2) Academia woes! We know he has all the PhDs ever & generally you need to publish or attend conferences etc to keep up your identity in the academic world. I know the Stargate Program makes this… exciting to manage. So how do they manage it? Give me a medical conference with Daniel as Janet’s arm candy or an archeology conference with folks very confused by Daniel’s pretty wife’s fluency when she “doesn’t have a degree or experience.” LOL 3) Sha’re Lives AU – how is she saved or is she never taken? What would the pair of them be like with the SGC in that case? Would he or she still be on a gate team or would they have a more on-site role? I would want them with the SGC tho as opposed to just on Abydos. 4) Related LOL Janet Lives AU – throw her into the mix of Season 9 & 10 (whether in place of Vala and/or Caroline or just in addition to them, I care not which). Both actors really felt these two should be shipped, and how can I argue? Basically just let Janet climb Daniel like a tree. Height kink for the win!
