The New, Improved Kooky Character Quiz!
Sep. 2nd, 2009 03:46 pmWith as stressy as things have been getting lately with deadlines and such, I thought we could use a break with something completely different! So I present to you, the new, improved kooky character quiz! Be warned! Your characters will never be the same again!
Character Name: Her R.R.T.S. Handle ID is Angel. Only John and Sarge know her real name.
Age: 29...possibly forever.
Species/Race: Human.. ish.
Piercings/Tattoos: Only her ears are pierced. Strangely enough, she's phobic of needles.
1. What kind of modern music would your character like? Any specific group or band? Or would they hate music?
Angel's into anything she can dance to: Pop, R&B, even rock on occasion.
2. If your character had a theme song, what specific pre-existing song would it be?
"Downfall" by Matchbox Twent (freaking love this song and it's SO appropriate some how)
3. If your character had a speaking or singing voice, what actor or singer would they sound like? Can your character sing at all?
Her speaking voice is a mid alto has just a hint of a Texas twang as she went to college and Basic at Fort Sam Houston. She can sing relatively well, but nothing to write home about.
4. If you were to cast a movie of your character's story, what actor would play them?
Umm hmm that's a toughy: considering she's an "everywoman," she could literally be absolutely anyone.
5. If your character could play an instrument, what would it be?
Considering her manual dexterity, I can see her playing the piano...but only if forced.
6. What is their favorite meal?
Anything NOT served in the R.R.T.S. mess hall.
7. If your character was in a high school drama, what subject in school would they have been the best in? What about the worst?
Angel would rock at biology me thinks, and totally suck at math.
8. What normal, everyday job would your character have if he or she were in modern times?
Welp, she's an epidemiologist and badass Marine. Not so normal, but it works for her.
9. What would their favorite hobby be if they were in normal, every-day, modern times?
Her hobbies currently include going out dancing and shopping with her favorite gay.
10. What pasta or fruit could your character's endowments be compared to? (ie. For guys: angel hair noodle, penne, thick spaghetti, etc. For gals, apples, melons, watermelons, etc. Hey...just answer the question!)
Ummm probably about a half a cantalopeish... per side of course lol
I wanna see what yall come up with!!
Hey there, it's me
hiddencait here with the start of my handy dandy online Author Feature Series! First up, is the incredible L. Diane Wolfe, a dear friend I've come to know through www.deviantart.com.
So, to get things started, how about a mini interview!
Question - What drew you to writing Teen/Young Adult inspirational fiction?
I didn’t originally see this series as YA. Only after test readers began suggesting the genre did I aim for the YA market. I always envisioned it as inspirational, but not pure Christian. That market is very strict when it comes to content, and I felt it would hinder the stories to leave out key events that changed the character’s lives. I wanted realism! I also wanted the books to reach a wider audience, one that would be impacted by the inspirational nature of my stories.

Compliments are Contagious!
Aug. 13th, 2009 10:21 amCompliments are a great way to boost a person's self esteem, they can raise your spirits when you're down and just generally make a person feel good.
So... leave me a complimenting comment! Am I a good listener? A good writer? Do I have mad rambling skills? You can make my day with just a few nice words. Then, be sure to post this in your own LJ so that others can do the same for you!
Interviews for the taking!
Aug. 8th, 2009 10:00 am2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on...
So
1.) If you were strandedon a desserted island, which fictional character would you have with you?
Cait: That's a toughy frankly, cuz really: do I want to be utterly distracted by hotness to the point that we never get rescued? Or do I want someone who'd be able to get us off the damn island? lol Oh well, I guess for the first: Reaper, at least he wouldn't have to eat as often as me post C24 lol, and for the second: Aquaman. Just swim me home thanks lol.
2.) What's your favorite Christmas Memory?
Cait: I think the most amusing memory I have of Christmas is being out in Ruidosa and waking up cuz I heard bells. I looked out the window and actually saw a red light! Course, the bells were mom & dad moving gifts around, and the red light was some kind of tower, but dude it was just too cool lol!
3.) Kiss, Fuck, or Marry: Gambit, Reaper!Bones, Logan? (I know, I'm cruel)
(you are cruel lol)
Umm Kiss Logan (cuz he's fun but he's not my priority here), Fuck Reaper!Bones (cuz I'd hate to make him watch me age and die) and Marry Gambit (cuz I'd still get to sleep with him, and he's the only one of the three that's actually mortal lol)
4.) What's the weirdest dream you've ever had?
Cait: I've had a LOT of weird ones, but frankly what was probably the weirdest, I don't even remember. All I know is that according to
5.) What does your drunken muse Lou look like?
Cait: Oh Lu! lol Lu is around 6'2", and fairly lanky. Definitely more of a quarterback than a linebacker lol. He's got very glossy almost blueblack straight hair (in various stages of short/long depending on his mood) and the bluest eyes I've ever seen. Quite an attractive muse, and he's more than a little egotistical about it. Oh well, he's got pride issues anyway. What can ya do? lol
So yeah, comment if you want an interview!
