I'm right there with you with enjoying the random accidental conversations in other peoples journals. You can babble with me with the best of them, which is a total blast. 9: Odd as it sounds my dear, you come in a set in my head, and that's a good thing. It's really encouraging to watch the kind of friend you are for her even from this distance. 777777: You! Sheesh you are easily one of the people I've met here on LJ that is the most utterly generous with your time. That or just insane. I haven't really decided which, but either way it works for me. We're only peripherally in the same fandoms at the moment, but I can't wait until we're full on squeeing together again. Or you know... squeeing with other people in your journal. It's much the same me thinks lol.

3: Yet another newbie (and that begs the question of what suddenly caused my flist to explode-but hell I like it lol!) You definitely share similar tastes in music and small nearly forgotten fandoms though, and that makes me squee. *grins* I look forward to the crazy we can pull out of the mixbang madness, and hopefully we'll still be fanning at each other long after!

So far a pretty good productive day... Who knew?

So yes I'm spamming LJ this morning, but it's my journal so I can lol.  Anyway I'm off today because I have jury duty this afternoon (which is weird as everyone I know has always been called in the morning but who knows?), and I've already gotten a ton of stuff done and it's barely 10:00.

The pest control guy came right at 8, so I'm all settled and anti-bugged for the next two months which is great as the colder weather usually forces the creepy crawlies indoors, and here is Texas we have TONS of creepy crawlies in a plethora of many-legged varieties.

In a similar vein, it was time to put the flea/tick/mosquito drops on the fuzzies again, and while they're not fond of it, we all MUCH prefer that to flea attacks.

I've paid ALL THE BILLS for this month, so while my bank account looks rather sadface, it won't look any less sadface except for fun stuff. And you know food, but that's doable.

Also on the money side of things, I went up to the bank to see about changing the type of checking account I've got in hopes of avoiding the fees I've finally started noticing as my budget gets tighter. And I was forcibly reminded of why I occasionally like my bank. Not only did I not have to change anything on my end (as the lady did some quick checking and my mortgage will now wave all fees on the checking account), but they refunded all of the fees back to when I signed on for the mortgage! So now I have extra money in my account that I wasn't counting on which is always fun. I'll have to figure out something fun to do with it... though I suppose I should be good and just toss it on the credit card. Maybe I'll compromise and do half fun and half responsible.

In LJ land, I posted the answer to my Number Meme and finally got around to doing a daily draw which I've been lax on the past few days and managed to pull my signature card which is always a sign for a good day me thinks!

But yeah, quite a few things checked off this week's to-do list so I'm feeling pretty good about today!

In other more NaNo news, I didn't write a damned thing last night again, but I think I know why. I've decided to try to go off Dr. Peppers (or at least significant cut back) again, because I was drinking a stupid amount. Which is bad for my weight and for my wallet. So yeah, cutting down is definitely a good thing, but as I don't really enjoy anything else with caffiene, I'm having a hard time focusing and may be for a little while until I wean myself off of it. This is probably why I did so well with the mass of Karl ficlet options - I had an excuse to let my writing brain be totally scattered and it worked for me.

I probably just need to open 4-5 word docs again and just flash from one to another. That seems to work for me.  And hey, I don't have to be at jury duty until 1:30, so I've got a couple hours to try to write right now. And added bonus, I can take my laptop into the courthouse until I'm actually sitting on a jury (if I even get selected), so I can probably get some writing done then. So yeah, Caity is determined and stuff!

BTW, for those of you who care - the Reaper!Vaako fic has come out ahead in the poll so I'll be starting that as well. Bring on the eyeliner!Karl!

And ended going out for my weekly girldate with my buddy, and managed to accomplish nothing else. But hey - I wrote SOMETHING and that's really what matters.
