On the Homefront

hiddencaitSo I'm home all day today so they can get my heater replaced (and doesn't that just suck for my poor wallet?). I really was not thrilled about it, but better to get it done now rather than waiting for it to die again and being bundled up and running space heaters 24/7 like I was earlier in the month. Caity is WAY too cold natured to handle that.
Gotta say though, I'm not all that impressed with this guy's organizational skills. If it wasn't a decent price and he hadn't let me cut the overall cost into payments (which most of the places I called weren't willing to do), I'd probably have gone through someone else. It was hell getting him to settle on an acutal day to get this done. And considering I'm going to be gone all next week, I did NOT need to be taking off more work this week. Not without pissing off my boss anyway.
But overall, considering that my furnace was older than I am and I did know I'd need to replace it sooner rather than later, I guess I can deal. I just hope the air conditioner lasts another year at least. It ran fine this past summer so hopefully it will next summer too.
So I'm making headway on my list of December writing/stocking stuffing plans which is good. My goal for today is to finish my Supernatural Secret Santa (I may be posting a beta call as my![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
askita hasn't seen much of that show) and get at least 1-2 more stockings filled as well. I'm noticing that my ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
bigbang_mixup claims are NOT going as well as I'd hoped, but next week I'll be up in the mountains with minimal internet so I might actually get something accomplished then lol. (Ohhhh that reminds me that I need to get an actual download playlist from one of my mixers considering I may be without internet... *makes mental note*).
On the LJ front, I've somehow managed to have a comment style that works with no changes so I'm crossing my fingers that I don't screw it up. God knows I do NOT have the techy ability to figure out how to fix it on my own lol.
But yeah, I'll be around today if yall are bored and wanna chat and can stand the comment features!
