OK so I think I have talked myself into signing up for
couplesbigbang because I am clearly a fanfic-masochist (not that it surprises anyone!), and hey this will at least get me a minimum of 10k into my goal of 150k by the end of the year. So definitely doing it, but I am totally clueless about who/what I want to write about.
So thoughts/opinions/advices? I do think I want to do a pairing I haven't written a long fic for, so that throws out Dredd/Cassandra, Ripley/Hicks, and Cassie/Nick ala Push, but that still leaves a MASSIVE amount of pairings in my to-be-shipped list.
I kinda think I want to do an AU too...like maybe a Black Jewels AU? I have loved damn near every one I've read but I just haven't gotten around to writing one. Or maybe something else... I don't really know.
Possible couples I've been craving are below - please feel free to toss out opinions/help me narrow this beast down!
Pacific Rim - Herc Hansen/Mako Mori (yes I love Raleigh/Mako, but damned if I can find much of any Herc het)
Marvel - Clint Barton/Darcy Lewis (not sure I could manage Darcy's voice but could be fun)
Hobbit - Thorin Oakenshield/Fem!Bilbo Baggins (one of few genderbending ships I like - if I thought I could manage the slash I'd keep him male, but oh well)
Gundam Wing - Heero Yuy/Relena Peacecraft (I just realized I've never actually written for these two beyond a baby drabble)
Marvel/Harry Potter - Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy (Follow to W.A.R.D. - no clue on plotness)
Sanctuary - Henry Foss/Ashley Magnus (obviously AU after season 2 even if I don't do a full on AU lol)
Tinman - Wyatt Cain/DG (iffy on this one - I've done a long drabble series for them but no complete fic)
If you've got a pairing you definitely want to see me write that isn't on the list, feel free to suggest it. It might help me narrow things down.

Date: 2014-02-13 05:40 pm (UTC)I've been waffling too on whether or not to sign up for the Couples Big Bang and I haven't yet decided which fandom I should go with and then what pairings. Good thing there's still time to decide.

Date: 2014-02-13 06:04 pm (UTC)And yeah, that was definitely a challenge to decide on - I have so many random ideas/plots on the backburner that I was just looking at the list and cringing. There's definitely time though. The long deadline was half the reason I felt comfortable joining.
