Yuletide Wrap Up!
Jan. 7th, 2019 09:11 am A little belated but hopefully still interesting for the few of you reading my page LOL
This was an accidental year of the Innkeeper Chronicles with me both writing for that fandom and getting my main gift in it as well which was fun. It's my favorite Ilona Andrews series, so I'm thrilled that I was at least part of adding two of the only three stories for that fandom thus far LOL
The fic I wrote is here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/17045408 ; This was an odd one in that the request so utterly perfectly matched my tastes, but damned if I could write it for some reason. I legitimately started an entirely new story THREE TIMES, and eventually ended up Frankensteining bits and pieces of all three into what ended up being my final submission. I've never ended up with MORE words in my cut file than in the final draft - that was a new and slightly more frustrating experience than planned LOL. At least my recipient was happy with it, and that was all that mattered, right?
My main gift (also Innkeeper Chronicles and Sean/Dina): https://archiveofourown.org/works/17031522 This was officially my longest Yuletide gift ever topping in at over 10K!! and was just an utter delight of Sean's POV and domesticity. It both tugged at my heartstrings and was totally hot which is the best kind of spoiling, I think!
I also got a bonus Yuletide Treat in another of my new fave fandoms, the book THE GUERNSEY LITERARY AND POTATO PEEL PIE SOCIETY: https://archiveofourown.org/works/16810264 ; This was such FUN - totally had the epistolary style that I loved from the books, and it was such a sweet treat, and I legit grinned like a loon the entire time I read it!
