The fact that he does so for the Colonials instead of his Mars homeworld causes one hell of a rift between himself and his oldest friend, Fee.
Now she's on a surprise visit in hopes of bringing Hils to his senses, but she's about to stumble onto the reason for his supposed defection: a young brilliant woman whose colorful clothes and bright eyed enthusiasm marks her as one of the strange Colonials. But what's she doing hiding in Becker's cabin and why she looks so utterly terrified?
The answers will draw all three into a conflict even more deadly than the war between worlds.
