Dean eyed the pair at the other end of the bar. Well, he eyed the redhead, anyway. The guy with his wide eyes and enthusiasm was a little reminiscent of Cas early on for Dean to be at all comfortable with.
But the redhead? She was making Dean all sorts of comfortable. He watched her (and him) for a little while longer, trying to determine if they were a couple or 'just friends.' After a little while, he figured they weren't actually together, which meant she was single. Or mostly. It was close enough.
He ordered another beer for himself and one each of what the bartender told him the redhead and her friend were drinking.
Then he plastered on a cocky smile and moved to join them. From the quizzical look on the lanky dude's face, neither Dean nor the drinks were expected. From the sly grin on the redhead's face, that didn't matter.
(Forgive me if I screw this up - am only well versed in one of these fandoms...)
