I am pretty much certain I've done this meme before or at least something closish, but I figure this is probably a good day to do it again. So yeah, prompt me kids! BTW, totally stole this from [livejournal.com profile] seren_ccd

Tell me about a story I haven't written, and I'll give you between one and three sentences from that story.

There’s a gasp from one of the men gathered around the glittering anomaly and a shocked cry of what is almost pain from Jess behind her, but Alison can’t tear her eyes away from the figure who steps clear of the anomaly, a shotgun leveled at the men of the ARC.

It’s Becker, but not. Where the Becker she knows is undeniably fit, this man is almost frighteningly so – with lean muscles stretched over his tall form and not a scrap of fat to be seen. There are scars littering that taut skin too – ragged ones tearing into both arms and one horrifying stretch of scar across the his throat. A scar that his ragged beard can do nothing to hide.

He is not their Becker, and with that knowledge, Alison is not surprised Nigels and the others are aiming in his direction.

And yet…something in her all but reaches for him, and dangerous though it may be, she feels a familiarity in him, a connection to the battered form that she’s never felt for the military man Jess is so fond of.

She takes a few shaking steps forward, ignoring the hands that try to hold her back. A name that she swears she shouldn’t recognize falls from her lips.

“Hil?”

He smiles grimly, and she wonders if she should be frightened. Then his shoulders seem to relax imperceptibly and he lowers his weapon.

“Alison. I knew you’d survive somewhere.”

*beams* It really does make me a happy happy girl. Plus something about the fact that this one is "Sergeant Becker" just works in my head so well for seeing how he could change in the hell that was my Surviving!Verse.

And the scruff and scars and shotgun.. really there is nothing wrong with that picture.

It was a custom I won for a PriWriMo a while back. I vote yes lol.

And in my Surviving!Verse - Helen never cheated on her husband and was never in the Forest of Dean however many years ago. Thus, the gorgonopsid didn't have anyone to chase back through the anomaly - and it lead a family group through with it, as did several herbivores (cuz by cannon, it was open for a few days). Plus with my headcannon - the more things out of their proper timeline, the more unstable/and common the anomalies become.

Eventually there were tons (not quite conversion but similar) of anomalies and creatures coming through. And lets face it - we are not the top of the food chain in that situation.

So instead of 8 years of Helen being missing up to the present verse, we had 8 years of the world finally going to hell, and the cannon characters that we know and love managing to still come together, but dying horribly till eventually only Helen and Alison are left of the people they care about.

And when faced with the fact that there really is no saving even civilians any more, they leave through an anomaly and, after many many alternate verses and managing to find one to two things to change to keep their alt!loved ones from dying, find their way to cannon verse. (And in my head manage to save Stephen as the first of the changes they plan to make to try to save this verse).

...can you tell this is a reality that I REALLY want the time to play with one of these days? lol I just know it's going to be long as hell lol.

Yeah it's one that has a ton of potential even if only Alison and Helen make it to cannon verse, though I can see Becker surviving without anyone knowing too. I mean cuz hell in Surviving!verse cannon, he survives something trying to tear his throat out (gets most of his vocal cords mangled though), so I daresay he'd be very very hard to kill lol.

And I think it would probably need to be novel-esque? If only for the "OMG the crazy ex is here and apparently not crazy and hey look it's Stephen's ex girlfriend too and wasn't she in South America?" massive plot lines and such

I have one chapter I wrote like.. years ago posted and then a femmeslashy oneshot I did for it, but neither feel like they're up to my current writing style.. or at least the first chapter certainly doesn't.

Yeah it definitely does - hell I'm writing major action in some of my stuff now, and I used to avoid that like the plague.

I thought about it. I'm just not sure I could get the right tone and history there for what I want maybe? Who knows. I thought about starting from scratch on it for not_from_stars and queenmidalah's Anomaly Big Bang, but considering I've got 2 others to do for crossbigbang, I'm just sure I want to take on something else yet.

And no joke! That was part of why I am always aggravated with Ryan's death - he goes down way too easily somehow, even if it WAS a future predator.

Yeah it always seemed more than a little over the top.

I dropped one of mine too - it's hard to give up on them, but damned if being calm and enjoying writing isn't more important than finishing by a deadline ya know?

And that definitely works - I totally love the various drabble memes for just that reason - even when I'm kicking myself due to writersblock, I can still keep my hands moving.
