Like half of my fave ships are rare crossovers... so I could nom the hell out of them, but I just don't have time to write it. And I know it. Le sigh. This one was a lot of fun last year, but I think I need to bow out for the sake of my sanity lol.

You go girl! When I'm in real danger of overdoing it (like I'm not now, :cough: ), I usually email someone I think will help and get them to talk me off the ledge. It works half the time, and it works long enough to de-ledgify it pretty much all the time.

(LOL) Yeah, I caught myself writing down nom options in an empty word doc and was like "Abort abort" and deleted the doc and closed the AO3 window. Out of sight out of mind. (Mostly. Probably).

Dooooo itttttt. It's my very very favorite exchange. You can nominate crossovers! And you only need to ship one pairing from a fandom (unlike rarepair exchange, where you need two).

I really enjoyed it last year, but I've already signed up for 2 others and a Big Bang, and have some original short stories and a novel I really need to work on if I want to get this silly professional writer thing moving LOL.

I'm a little bummed to bow out, but I really think it'll be the best idea. Otherwise, there's a good chance I'd end up defaulting, and I'd HATE that.

I can't. It was my favorite, too, but I was so OCD about it that I sort of burned myself out. But I can't imagine doing it without being as knee-deep in it. I'd be sad. But we had four really good years! The other issue (I know this is stupid but still) is that I knew if I did it again, Game of Thrones would most likely make it in. It was really really important to me to hand match all the participants to ensure the best possible matches, and in order to do that, I needed to read everyone's requests. I'm a big show-only fan, and it would have sucked for some book reader's prompts to spoil me.

However, last year someone else started up a new one! Check it out. Unfortunately, I got into the situation you are afraid of being in, where I had signed up for like five exchanges and realized it was too much, so I had to default, which I HATED.
