MCU AU Reveals

So I have hoped to write treats, but due to time (and NPT which STILL isn't finished and is due tomorrow *headdesk*), I only ended up writing my original assignment.

I quite enjoyed writing it, even though the animal transformation trope isn't one I usually play with.

Unfortunately, my giftee either hasn't read it, or hated it and decided not to comment or kudos, but oh well. At the very least, it's set the world up for my HetBang Bucky/Jemma arranged marriage epistolary fic which I'm pretty super excited about, so there's that. And I got to use a Shakespeare quote for the title and summary which is a bonus that should never be underestimated!

In any case, hopefully someone out there enjoys it!

I wasn't going to read the Clint/Coulson but considering it sets up for the hetbang...

It's definitely light on the shipping if that helps? I know a lot of my writer buddies prefer het (hell except for a few pairings, I prefer het lol), but Clint/Coulson is one of the ones the fandom has won me over for.

And yup! This can pretty much be considered the prequel to Affairs of State (working titleish? lol)

It's one of my I tolerate it pairings, but would rather not. If there's any nonhet pairing that's almost kind of, I better than tolerate it won me over, it'd be Clint/Bucky. That's probably because I'm all over Clint/Natasha/Bucky because I always shipped her with either.

Clint and Bucky are almost too much alike for me to ship them romantically. Epic Sniper!Bros? Hell yeah, but it's a little too mirrored for me.

As far as Clint/Tasha, I like them from time to time and have written for them - but they really were working their way into a broTP for me just before I discovered the Clint/Coulson pairing, and then once I did, it was game over LOL. I honestly wasn't annoyed by Clint/Laura at all because somehow the non-romantic bond for Clint and Tasha almost seems a stronger connection between them for me.

Well, comics canonically, it is?

In short, their history started romantic, went by way of epic friendship, and stayed family. I like them any which way, but honestly don't really ship them in the comics. I like them in MCU.

As for Clint/Bucky, thus the kind of sort of. I'll read them but only write an implied pre-relationship at most, most. I like them with Natasha, just like I flat NOTP Steve/Natasha but I'll ship Steve/Natasha/Clint. Sometimes I need a bridge to make a relationship work.

I just checked and they almost never comment on their gifts, so it clearly has nothing to do with liking or not liking what you wrote. I'm sure it's a great fic!
