Big Bang Progress..ish.. Wanna look?

So, I've managed to finish the first "chapter" or so of my Big Bang fic finally and have moved on to the 2nd. I'm not sure how proud I'm feeling of my progress though. It's up to 4K, which while cool I have 4K, is there not quite as far as I'd hoped to be right now. Plus, I'm almost worried it's sounding boring so far.

The first chapter is in Hicks' POV, and then I'm switching to Ripleys. Weirdly enough, I felt more comfortable in Hicks' head than her's. Usually I have a hell of a time writing from a male POV, so maybe that's throwing me a bit.

Blah, I don't really know. Maybe I'm just in a blah mood in general and thus am not feeling as proud of it so far. I think I could use a little cheerleading to pull me out of the funk frankly.

That said: would anyone like to take a look at what I have so far? I'd have to email it to you, of course, but I'd be grateful as hell.  My beta-of-awesomeness askita hasnt' seen Aliens in years, so she's just not quite comfortable betaing/bouncing ideas with me just yet.

You're welcome to if you wanna! I've gotten a bit further now, right at 10k so far, though rather plotless lol.
