BigBang Insanity Continues! Now with even MOAR!

OK before admitting to my insanity, I just want to say right now, that THIS IS NOT MY FAULT DAMN IT!

Several of you are to blame, and you probably know who you are anyway... Evil little enablers.. not like I didn't have enough on my plate already!

Anyway, as you might have guessed I'm considering adding to my BigBang insanity. With not one.. but TWO additional BigBangs.

...now before you start calling for the nice guys in the white coats, I'm not totally as batshit as I may sound. I've looked at the deadlines, and those are the reason I think I might actually be able to pull them off, as both given me well into 2012 to work on these. So unless the world actually ends in 2012, I think I have a good shot at finishing these. If only because the high of finishing fics SERIOUSLY gets my muse going again. It's awesome. *beams and bounces excitedly*

Anyway, so on to the BigBangs in question:

Now this one seriously makes me think of those of you in my LJ friends who have mentioned enjoying the BigBang craziness but not having time to write, but still willing to do fanmixes if people want them. (And YES, I'm looking right at you urbancate lol)   So yeah, I'll be doing the authorly thing on this one, which should be fun and challenging considering I won't even know what fandom I'm writing for until I claim my mix. Oh and for those of you who are writers: mix claims are in the beginning of November, and the rough draft is due January 10, so lots of time! Plus, only 10k for this one, which is SUBSTANTIAL shorter than het_bigbang. Yesh. Cait can do 10k. Cait can also speak about herself in 3rd person. Clearly, Cait is made of win and way too much caffeine at 10 at night.

On to the next one:

Got a desire to write some angsty fic? Do some angsty art? Make sure you head over to angstbigbang and sign-up for round one! Sign-ups begin on August 1st.

Oh yeah, I've noticed the muse seems to be up for the angst lately so I figure why the hell not? Also, I have until Sept 1 to sign up, and then the rough draft doesn't have to be completed until January 9th. Again doable, though having both going at once might be exciting. Also only 10k, though, so still less with both stories than het_bigbang alone was.

This is the one where I have some waffling about plots (who me and my overactive muse? Nahhhh lol) and options, though apparently John Grimm is demanding to come out to play finally, and who the hell am I to tell him no? 

Anyway options are as follows:

Our Due Time:  the Doom/Chronicles of Riddick crossover featuring Reaper!Vaako/Kyra pairing, though plot would likely run amoc (now that I think about it, this one so TOTALLY will be way longer than 10k.. maybe doing it as a series? hmm) Basically, Vaako saves Kyra at the end of CoR by infecting her. Resentment and court intrigue ensues with some Furyan adventures thrown in just for good measure.

More than One Lifetime: a Sanctuary/Doom cross that's been playing around in my head for a while. Not a pairing specifically, though it might be on the periphery. Basically, after the hell off earth of Olduvai, Sam takes John to one of her old mentors, Helen Magnus, mostly because Magnus is literally the only person alive who might be able to figure out just what effect C24 will have on John, and what that effect might mean in the way-too-long run. Also, it's the Sanctuary, so lots of John brooding over the subject of monsters and Sam getting to be the BAMF scientist we know and love. Though, I will need to read season 3 spoilers probably, that or just declare it AU after season 2.

But anyway yeah, me and Lu haz plotbunnies abounding! Let me know where your vote lies on the Angstbang!

I'm going with More Than One Lifetime but I'm also TOTALLY excited that you're doing both these BBs!!! :D The mod in me thanks you for promoting but I'm eager to read whichever fic you go with even though I haven't seen Sanctuary (though I kinda know what it's about) and I've only heard of Chronicles of Riddick but I like Doom!! :D And I'm with you on BBMixup - I signed up to do fic. And mixes. And art.

Gah you haven't seen Chronicles of Riddick??? What about the prequel Pitch Black??? Seriously.. this series is one of my top 5 ever I think. Like no joke, you must watch cuz I says so.

And Sanctuary is a lot of fun too. Has some fun steampunky edges so I like it a lot.

Doom made John my crossover little black dress. I can turn him in to just about anyone lol.

Pitch Black? It sounds totally familiar though I thought CoR was more Artemis Fowl and PB was more Aliens so maybe I know absolutely nothing about CoR :P But, having said that, I am going to go get them now and watch them. It will definitely help while I procrastinate with this BB stuff due soon :P

Don't know anything about Artemis Fowl, and Pitch Black is definitely more Aliensish I guess? It's the start for the series, and has a different feel than Chronicles. Chronicles opens the universe itself up considerably if that makes sense.

Would it help if I told you Karl Urban has eyeliner in Chronicles? (Karl tends to be a fairly common love in my LJ friends lol)

ArtemisFowl is a series of books and definitely un-Alien-like :P And I looked up Karl Urban when I first heard you mention him because there's a music artist called Keith Urban and I was wondering if they were at all related - they're not :P

*head implodes* You know nothing of Chronicles of Riddick? And then I'm assuming that means no Pitch Black (prequel) either? Gahhhhhhhhhh seriously one of my favorite fandoms ever. PB is the movie that made me a fan of Vin Diesel and Chronicles has Karl Urban and Judy Dench which made the fandom even more wondermous.

*deep breath* OK I think I'm out of rabidfanmode now lol. And yeah, Helen's awesome.. I'm a little worried I won't be able to write her properly. Luckily I think I'd stay in John's head for most of this as the romance would be more on the fringes, and I've written him before so it might not be so bad.

Also, Doom is yet another great kick ass actiony movie. And Karl again is in it. (Can you see a pattern developing? lol) It was actually one of the first fandoms I managed to write a complete story for, so it's near and dear. Plus John Grimm can pretty much be a crossover LBD. You can shove the boy into almost any fandom thanks to what cannon did to him.

Rought draft is good, plus any details you want to fill in regarding the plot as a whole - mostly i need an idea of style and tone and character on top of just knowing the plot. Also, if you've had any musical influences on your story, I want to hear about those, to possibly incorporate them into the mix. Easy as that!

I know I've seen them before, when I was little, like six, my aunt used to babysit and her favorite movies were the Aliens movies, and I would watch them with her so often I knew when to jump behind the couch for the scary parts.
