While I know you are hoping for something from The Blackberry Queen, I checked dates and realized that my WIPBigBang is due a helluva lot sooner, so I'm working on that today. So here's a snippet of Resident Evil Apocalypse fic. No zombies for the moment - I promise!

“Put it on. We should have given you one sooner. I just didn’t think…” Carlos trailed off, but she guessed what he might have been waiting to say. He hadn’t thought things would get this bad – that there’d been gear even available for her to scavenge. She nodded slowly and held out the pistol grip first for Nicholai to hold while she wrestled with the vest. The armored panels made the thing heavier than it looked, and part of Dannie despaired at the thought that it would slow her down even more. Still, she made herself pull it on and secure it with the zippers and buckles. It was too big, she realized, but Carlos was moving before she could say anything, pulling on some straps she hadn’t noticed until it was nearly as tight on her as it had been on the others. She supposed she was lucky Yuri had been the slightest of the three of them. Had she been wearing Carlos or Nicholai’s gear, the vest would likely have swallowed her whole, gapping and sagging too much to offer any protection at all.

*pat pat* I am going to get more done on it soon though, I swear. I gotta get moving on all my projects. I lost about 2 weeks between Porn Battle and the great Grammarly frenzy to try to give my novel one last polish before submitting to the Amazon Breakthrough contest. But that got turned in last night, so my brain is finally free to tackle the fics I've promised.

I think I have 2 big bangs, and 2 shipswap assignments now. And all but Couplesbang needs to be finished by April. This could get exciting lol.

And yeah - I don't do scary movies well, but most of the Resident Evil ones feel more like action movies for me, I guess? IDEK. I just love them. And it's kinda nice writing an OC centric again. I stopped writing on several because the Mary Sue hate was spreading everywhere, and while I don't think my chicas ever end up going that route, I got paranoid. Oh well!

Ooo now that's a hard one to answer! It's like critiquing myself - I cringe everytime I have to do it for work!

But I think my biggest strength is my ability to find my own personal voice - according to my writing group, they can recognize when I've written something no matter what the genre. It just sounds similar even when I'm going from a young adult fairy tale redux to a psychic soldier sci-fi fic. So I guess that's good?

That and I NEVER run out of ideas. Getting them written is another story - but the dreaded writers block doesnt' seem to happen very often.
