Thanks said – on to the nitty gritty letter stuff!
First of all – DON’T PANIC! Seriously, I have no doubts that I will love whatever you write. Just the fact that you are writing for any of these ladies in the first place will make me ridiculously happy. Also, I just love gifts in general, so I’ll be chuffed to get a prize of any shape and size.
I know this letter will likely be ridiculously long and meta-y as again I love these fandoms, but don’t let that scare you off. If none of the prompts/like lists work for you, feel free to ignore them. The only thing I do ask is that my no-thanks list be avoided if all at possible. Other than that though, do whatever the muse tells you!
Yes, please: Post-apocalypse fic, slice of life/domestic fic (if you can manage both post-apocalyptic AND domestic I will bow to your greatness lol), teamfics, found family, crossovers AUs (particularly coffee shop, Black Jewels trilogy, daemons, steampunk/neo-Victorian, Sentinel/Guide, Old West, and Pacific Rim fusions), outsider POVs, supernatural elements, badass chicks and men who respect/lust after them for it, fixit fics to bring back killed off characters, fics where characters have kids and are adorable parents. Also, I am a total music junkie so anything incorporating that would be welcome! Some of my current loves are Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Bridget Mendler, and Sara Bareilles. I’m definitely OK with an M-rating, and for smutty fics, I particularly love dirty talk, a clear top ordering their bottom around, hair-pulling, restraints/ropes/shibari/handcuffs/holdi
No thanks, please: Slave worlds, demon-possession, mind control, noncon, dubcon, character death, infidelity, characters de-aged during the story (if you make one of the characters a child, make them “cannonly” children for that story if that makes sense), A/B/O, wingfic, gangster/mob, noir settings, amnesia fics, loss of limb/amputations, mpreg, underage, genderswap, RPF. For M-rated fics, for triggering reasons I have to shy away from knife play/blood play/gun play (only in a sexual context – cannon level plot/action violence is fine), scat, watersports, rape-as-fantasy-scenes, anal, and any kind of direct blow in a sexual connotation even including spanking/flogging.
Thor:
Darcy Lewis – Darcy has managed to be one of my very favorite characters in a very long time. I love that she’s quirky and part of the normal world, but takes the out-there of Thor and the super-powered side of the Marvel verse completely in stride. She also totally has Jane’s back, and that’s the kind of loyalty I can get behind whole heartedly.
I ship her with all the things (except for Loki) so ship fic would be awesome, particularly with Clint, Steve, Bucky, Bruce, and Coulson. She’s also one my list for femmeslash – Darcy/Natasha and Darcy/Sif are particular faves if you want to go that route. Friendship wise, I think she, Skye, and Jemma could wreck the world in the best way possible. Shenanigans would be welcome.
Also, I really love the tropes where she’s recruited either to SHIELD or to Stark Enterprises. Darcy Lewis as Pepper’s protégé will never stop being amazing as a concept for me.
Sif – There really isn’t that much fic for Sif yet, and I think that’s a damned shame. I love that she’s so effortlessly feminine while still holding her own as a warrior. Her competency is never called into question, which is also awesome. Makes me wonder what it took for her to win such unwavering support from the men she fights with. Also, there’s something about a badass chick in armor. Why yes, I am shallow. What of it? I’d love to see her interact more with the people of Midgard, so team!fics with basically any of the MCU ladies would thrill me. The moments with Sif and May in A.o.S. were some of my faves of the season.
Agents of SHIELD – just a heads up with this one: I haven’t seen any episodes past “The Writing on the Wall” so please keep spoilers to a minimum for me! I’m trying to get caught up, I just don’t know how far I’ll be.
Jemma Simmons – Jemma is just darling. I really, truly think she’s one of my favorite characters on the show thus far. Everything about her delights me.
I’d love to see some of her growing competency in the field. Even without the impulse to give Fitz space, the fact that Coulson felt she could go undercover said a great deal to me.
I also have to admit that early into Season 1 I shipped the hell out of her and Ward. The skydive was part of it, but the kicker was her walk on the tree with him right beside her supporting her. That was a fantastic moment, and I’m a little sad we never got more of the dynamic between them. If you go this route though, please make it either set Season 1 or AU when Ward doesn’t go dark side. Avoid the angst if possible!
Another pairing I’d be really intrigued to see would be Jemma/Bucky. Extremely unlikely to ever be on screen together in cannon (though it’s not like that stops me with Darcy LOL), but the idea keeps growing on me. Something about her specializing in biochem and being at least somewhat qualified to help put his pieces back together appeals to me. That and the way she clearly tried to be there for Fitz, but was able to realize when she was making him worse and back away, even when he blamed her for it. I could see her being the kind of woman who could understand Bucky’s broken bits. Also, I think I prefer her calling him “James” oddly enough. No idea why that’s my headcannon for them, but it seems to be! LOL
Friendship wise, FitzSimmons will never not be dear to my heart - I really saw them as more platonic than romantic. Also, I have the headcannon that Jemma would have a massive SCIENCE!crush on Bruce Banner. You can take that as shippery if you like, of course LOL
Raina – This woman just intrigues the hell out of me like whoa. I want to know who she wants to become, and why she so desperately needs to know her chances. Who was she? What was it about her past that makes her cling so hard to a possible future identity instead of the one she currently has? Also, what’s her affinity to flowers? Do they have a specific meaning to her?
…OK shockingly enough, I think that may be all I want right now! I’ve had so many great MCU ladies fic come across my board lately – I think these are really the key four that I’m looking to see more of right now! Also, even if I didn’t specifically request your fave MCU lady, feel free to throw them into the mix with one of my choices! I definitely in the MOAR AWESOME WOMEN making the fic even more awesome, so add ladies at will!
