hiddencaitSo I'm at 5381 for day 3 of NaNoWriMo. It's the first time I can remember being ahead of my word count since I started this crazy challenge 6 or 7 years ago lol. So yeah, I'm seriously hopeful that I'm going to win this year. Go go go all of us who are doing it!!
Also, I just saw Ender's Game and can I just say this may be the best book-to-movie film I've seen in a very long time. Just flat out gorgeous and I had the same reaction of sheer shock and awe that I remember from reading it the first time. I'm actually really glad I didn't re-read it before I saw the film - even knowing certain details, it was long enough ago that it still hit like brand new. Plus the sheer visual spectacle took my breath away. Just yeah - if you like sci-fi, great psychology, and moral ambuguity - this will definitely be a film for you!

Umm Margaret and John - there's just so much joy between them in and out of bed. Neither are sure they really believe it's happening yet, and so each moment they have together, they treat as a gift I think. Also, even though Margaret is as headstrong as she is, it's ALWAYS John who makes the first advance. She's still too aware of how she'd hurt him to press her attentions at him, even though she knows they're welcome. John is perfectly willing to kiss her first anyway - he likes feeling that little bit more in charge of the relationship, I think.
John and Katie!!!! Eeeeeeeee gosh love these two. Lets see. They alternate between rough and almost painful and super gentle depending on how close they are to a PTSD fueled nightmare when they reach for each other. However, even when rough, there is never any over the top kink - neither one has the stomach for ropes or "punishment" any more (even though I can see both of them having dabbled before the kidnapping). The closest they get to any kind of D/S play is that Katie is always in charge of what they're doing/planning in bed. She needs that feeling of being in control of her body, and really questionable response to authority not withstanding - having been military, John is used to and in bed in particular more OK with taking orders.
